Cube World is pretty good from what I have played so far.

It gets incredibly repetitive after 1 hour of playing. I honestly do not recommend it.

Anyway, most AAA titles have proper optimization and allow you to play them with pretty old PCs at lower settings. I know BF3 ran on my 6 year old 700€ PC on medium at a constant 60 fps, so it's not demanding at all.

Morrowind (scale without mods about 1.5, with Morrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul about 3.)

Oblivion (if you don't mind the extremely drab and cliché shiny knights in English fields setting, scale about 2.)

Papo & Yo (best platform puzzler I know, and is really graphically good looking without taxing hardware, scale about 2.5)

The Longest Journey series (if you're into great storytelling, it doesn't get better than this - scale about 1, lol)

Mass Effect 1, 2, 3 (scale about 2, lol Xbox optimization)

Dragon Age: Origins (scale about 2)

Ghost Master (looks a bit like Sims, but is about scaring the shit out of people with ghosts in inventive ways, scale about 1.3)

Startopia (comical strategy game, scale about 1.1)

Theme Hospital (super funny gamer about managing a hospital with extreme amounts of brilliant comedy, scale about 0.)

Bad Mojo (look it up, hard to explain, classic adventure game where you play as a cockroach - scale 0)

Sanitarium (scale 0.5)

Neverwinter Nights (scale 0.8)

all the Sam & Max games. (max scale about 1.75 for the newest ones)

Game                                                       Scale

Civilization V                                             2-3

Maybe for graphics cards, but on the CPU side it's more of a 3.5, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with a Core2Duo, the instant you reveal the full map through satellites you will be running at 5-15 FPS with a poor CPU.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Old classics:

Sacred,

Gothic 1, 2, 2 + expansion. 3 is also nice.

RISEN 1! - it's the real Gothic 4, it rocks the party.

Neverwinter Nights 2.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1&2

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Outcast

Mount & Blade Warband

Beyond Good and Evil (my personal favorite, a vibrant world by Michael Ancel the creator of Rayman series, the graphics are stunning to this day even though everything about them is outdated, i love it)

Disciples II

Project Freedom (Starmageddon II) - a nice little and rather easy to play 3D space fighter simulator.

The above should run on pretty much any graphics card + CPU combo at least on low settings, I don't believe somebody has a problem running Beyond Good and Evil for example. Warband and Risen are pretty new but far from demanding.

There are so many more I could recommend, basically have most of those old classics in my Steam Library and besides some indie titles i got by accident from bundles, I can recommend all the games i have in my library.

Has anybody here played Scrapland? It's one of those little fun 3D games, made by American's McGee. You play as a robot who lands on a world made of scrap (hence the title) and you get involved into the life of locals.

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

Just looking to see some games that are awesome and arent so demanding graphically(so nothing like BF3,4 or Crysis, etc.) It doesnt have to be something like Minecraft it can be more demanding than that but somewhere i would say in the middle in terms of being demanding. Like lets say there is this kind of scale:

1-not demanding

2-kind of demanding

3-demanding

4-very demanding

If we were to take this scale and find some games that would have around a 2,3(3 is alright) what would be some games that would fall in that category? can be any genre except racers, fighters.

Anything by blizzard scales to any kind of computer.  Also if you are compensating for poor hardware (we've all been there) just look at popular games from a while ago, you can run them at max settings.

DOOM And the ton of mods for it? if you are like running really damn old hardware?? Along with the other old shooters from that time

Anything you can EMU well on PSX,Gameboy Advance Emulators

Pretty much most valve/source Engine games, Left 4 Dead/2 and TF2 would be ones to throw in, plus gmod.

Pretty sure some simulator games aren't that graphically demanding, specially tanker truck simulator with BREATHTAKING 3D (i kid, dont touch that game).

May i just throw a classic into the air here?

Grand theft Auto San Andreas? i don't know if i'd want to touch IV, you probably could get away with it but i found it to be so damn crashy.

Hey bro whatcha DOOOOOOOOIN *Barfs fruit salads on your chest*

i7 4820K / Sapphire Radeon HD 7970GHZ 6GB \ 16GB Corsair Vengeance (4X4) / Gigabyte X79-UD3 \ EVGA Supernova G2 850W / Windows 7 Ultimate / Dell U2412M \

Dat be spooky....my hella rad pootpoot *u*

Ghost Recon Phantoms and Far Cry 3 after patch

Isnt farcry 3 pretty demanding..

I like this thread. I have a nice computer with the exception of a old GFX card and I mean OLD. All these games help. Do a lot of people still play BF3? I think I will try to run it. I have 8gb ram, a 3570K i5. the only issue is a ATI 1950x GFX card..
