That is the gpu specs, not the card specs. The tdp is the thermal design power of the GPU, not the actual power usage of the whole card.

TDP is only relevant to heat output. You were talking about power consumption/efficiency.

HBM relies on what is known as Wide I/O which means they sacrifice per lane bandwidth with a massive amount of them. The channeling allows HBM to retain lower clocks which cuts back on power consumption meanwhile boosting overall bandwidth.

 

What are you talking about the memory bandwidth is 512gb/s.

Ok, 113watts -------> 300 watts. Still a massive jump

 

It's 50W more than a GTX 480 from 2010, not that big a deal for a flagship.

So X1800XT had the performance of 83 gflops with 113 watts. Fury X cards will have 8.6 billion gflops with 300 watts. 1800XT could manage 0.73 glops/watt whereas the Fury X cards manage 28.6 million gflops/watt. 

 

Is it still that massive?

Part of the reason (if not the main reason) is because they post stuff like "It's officially confirmed" or "Those are official specs" and then start the article with "Our sources told us", "We had an anonymus tip" or "Since this card has that kind of a power connector, this is confirmed rebrand and the specs are...". And that's just from this week. I don't hate them, like every website they have to have click baits and they post stuff among the first (even the rumours), but many don't like that. Also the bandwagon.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

The R9 290X was AMD's first dive into a bigger GPU card. So it's to serve as reference as to how much ground they gained since their first big GPU.

Because for every legitimate leak they post 10 more false ones that look just good enough to make you wonder if it might be true. It isn't how many articles are correct, it's how many articles are correct in relation to the total number of articles they post that determines how trustworthy they are, which means not very. You can't tell if anything they say is true.

 

Remember when they made an article confirming that the Fury had 8gb of hbm, then the next day confirmed 4gb, confirmed 8gb again in a different article the next day, and then went back to 4gb in another new article a week later? (and they said confirmed in every article, not possible or probable) It's stuff like that that makes them laughable.

 

 

That and what Bouzoo posted above. There's not a reason I've seen yet to trust WCCF.

I have yet to anything that makes them worse than any other site. They have hits and misses. Videocardz is much worse.
