CPU/GPU Temps?

lovingGamer
Go to solution Solved by GeeZillion,

Your are saying that my GPU and CPU are fine WAT!

CPU temp is 72C and GPU 79C, and my GPU was designed to run at 80 C

those temps are fine modern CPU's are made to withstand temps of 100c but as long as there both under 85c your perfectly fine but it would be nice for them to run cooler but it's fine running at thst temp

Okay, CPU and GPU temperatures are scaring the crap outta me.

To make you understand why i'm so scared, i paid 435 EURO for my parts. And i worked 7 Hours for only 10 EURO, I was saving money for 4 Years.

The lucky day is when i found job, cause my country fucking sucks! Hard to find job or little paid.

And now, my case sucks at airflow (That is my old case, really bad airflow and no fans) So i have to keep my case opened all the time literally.

My CPU is I3 4150 (72C)

My GPU is MSI R9 280X (79C)-(81C)

New case that i'm planing to buy is

http://www.olx.ba/artikal/17523065/kuciste-aw-c201-crni-2x12cm-fan-usb-3-0-tool-free/ Andit costs 40 EURO

My PSU gets so hot that i can't lay my hard on it for 10 seconds

Dude mods do not have any more knowledge than other people on the forum,

Ideally you need a new case and a better cooler,

if your PSU gets that hot, maybe its faulty and causing your other components to get hot?

So... what's the question? All you said was that you have hot components and are thinking about buying a new case.

I'd get the case though if i were you.

I don't do signatures.

your psu might be too hot, just point a fan at it .

Otherwise cpu and gpu temps are fine

First off the mods are not the only people that can help you, this is a trivial issue at best so I would avoid topic titles like this in the future.

On topic-

The CPU/GPU temps are actually fine, though you should check to make sure your PSU's fan has access to some airflow. If it's at the top of the case and the fan is facing towards the top of the case and there is no ventilation then you need to turn the fan down towards the inside of the case. If the PSU is on the bottom of the case with the fan side down then you need to be sure that there is space between the case and the floor. If there is no space then you either need to make space or flip the PSU the other way round to be sure it can breathe. Also that link went nowhere for me.

Ambients : 30°c

Difference is 42 and 49°c .

If it's designed to run at 80 and it runs at 80 it's fine  .

I have a R9 290 and it runs at 95°c, and it's designed to run at that.

I would be more worried about PSU

No the thermal threshold for a 280x is way higher than 80*C

You dont want PSU to fail.

Just post full specifications and make a picture of the thing and post here.

You have some options:

- Buy fans

- Buy case

- Downvolt and downclock

And if PSU is crap, id go with better psu first.

Thats load temps right?

You dont need to buy new case. You can go away with this with spending 0 money.

All i want to know now is your PSU. Just take a picture of it or read the sticker.
