I think ive always been a tin foil hat kind of person, Im not worried about it since I figure ive been spied on since I was a kid. Its not like im this number one priority target but I think its wrong that the worlds governments are doing this.

damn it it's not tinfoil ... it's aluminum foil ... we got tin of tin ages ago

Let me ask you this. Since you've done nothing bad and you're fine with the govt collecting info on you. how about i come over to your house and snoop through your belongings and credit records and publish them to the web just to see what you've been doing. Even though you've done nothing wrong.

Exactly, even if you've done nothing wrong, there are still a few major problems, some of which are:

1) They have access to personal information such as transactions, etc.

2) They can strike back against anyone who poses a threat to them (which I fear has happened already and is still going on right now).

If a power exists (such as our personal information in a database) it will be exploited by people. Look at history. It is in our nature.

Socialism is amazing on paper, But by nature very few of us are saints.

So, I'm reading trough the forums and everywhere I see only people scared about their personal data being stolen from the internet, about conspirations and other bad things

Come on. You take way to serious. I'm not trying to offend any of you in any way, but I don't think that any of you knows some government secrets or something that we should be scared off. I know that protecting our personal informations and identity is a verry needed thing but some of us are taking it way to serious. I mean, there are other people that need to be concerned and to use vpn's and proxy switchers but, not you guys. I don't think that the gouvernment or the NSA will try to break your g+ or yahoo mail password.

You should be a litle bit more self confident because if you haven't done anything bad, you don't have to worry about conspirations and being watched, even if these two are some real threats that you need to consider :)

i dont care because i dont think anyone can take me as a threat, Playing video games, watching porn or linus (interchangeable) if someone(thing) wants to know what im doing idgaf.

The problem is it is not about your daily activities. It is the ones that the govt looks at that is out of the ordinary. Your daily activities may seem harmless to you. And the govt may also think the same. But we all know that things don't always go to plan and sometimes your daily activities aren't what you do on a certain day. What happens if those unforseen activities make you look suspicious. What if one day, you had to pass by a drug associated neighbourhood known to the authorities on the very same day a huge shipment of drugs were to be imported there. In this situation, in order for an honest, pure citizen like yourself to ever prevent any trouble from happening is to always be aware of every single action that you have. EVERY single action and it's consequences. Who wants to do that? And even after doing so, none of us are perfect. Heck, a robot beat us in chess, so we are not even strategically adept to forsee good future actions.

TLDR: Don't have complete trust in your govt or policing agency. There are plenty, of cases where DNA results proved that the accused who was sent to jail for his crimes back in the 60s or 70s was innocent. Complete surveillance with current technology will only increase that number.

FYI: Porn is illegal in certain countries. If you lived in those countries, you wouldn't be too happy.

Grow up and get that head out of the weed smoke. FYI, a muslim guy was arrested for bringing a pressure cooker over the US border. http://news.sky.com/story/1090650/pressure-cooker-scare-saudi-held-at-airport

If your reply is that you're not Muslim then you are just an ignorant citizen to which the US govt applauds and encourages.

I was speculating based on your post that you might be a troll and say such things. I don't hate on Americans. I have a friend who is in North Carolina. But what you've said is one of the main reasons why many do.

BTW by you saying that I hate Americans because I'm Canadian is equally as bad as me saying that you're super fat and racist. I'm curious. Where in any of my post did I even hint at the prospect of me hating Americans?

Edit: I'm also an everyday person. A month ago, my friend texted me, "I'll give you sniper" I texted back, "K meet at ____" Later, he gave me a copy of Sniper Ghost Warrior. If the someone was monitoring my text, that would be an instant red flag.

Your sig makes this extremely ironic you know.

Keep in mind that the DNA data base he talked about can easily be used in conjunction with the NSA phones spying program. This video was made before those media leaks.

I honestly don't care at this point.

That's the problem

You are giving up your rights to a power hungry government slowly. When will you have enough? 1984 was not an instruction manual. But it sure as hell looks like we're getting there.

Government is run by whoever has the biggest wallet, they can do whatever they want and nobody can stop them. Unless Snowden does something with this NSA blueprint to counteract the measures currently in place then I will consider moving into a cave with nothing but running water and a blanket.

If a power exists it WILL be exploited and used against someone. Call me tinfoilhat but you can not deny this is true.

If you can't support the bill of right then get the hell out of this country. What the government is doing actively subverts democracy. Jimmy Carter (a former US pres.) himself supports that.

EDIT: wrong pres. [fixed]

What country? America? Why would you assume I'm from that ridiculous excuse for a nation? It says my location next to my post. Do not tell me what to do. Your analogy was false.

As it was before i looked over and it did not show your location, whether it was an error or you just added it, i did not see it before.

"Your analogy was false" You seem to be missing the point about privacy as a whole.
