It has come to my attention that the GTX 980 has received a higher score on GPUBoss.com than the R9-295x2. This is simply a lie. No single 980 can beat the R9-295x2 in any performance test (rendering, gaming, etcetera). It even says on the site that the R9-295x2 has more positive characteristics than the 980. Do you think GPUBoss is bias?

It's a site that uselessly aggregates scores. It is usually never accurate, such as in this case. As for it being biased, I wouldn't go that far.

its always been biased towards nvidia cards I believe. I dont use it much, but its actually not bad for just getting some quick benchmarks. tend to ignore all their crap at the top though

you know why the 980 wins ? because gpuboss doesn't crossfire the r9  295x2 they only use one gpu not dual gpu (what i heard)

The most accurate comparison between graphic cards is done by observing benchmarks from as many websites, videos or publications as possible, excluding the pos website known as GPUBoss, and others like it.

all GPUboss and CPUboss do is sensibly comparing specs, counting up the amount of times where one product wins over the other, and apply an useless number to prove it.

 

what they forget is the information behind the information. (example: they compare clock speed, but forget about instructions per clock)

 

EDIT: also, there is no single best part, because different parts are better in different situations. (an FX8350 would sit mostly idle when doing single threaded programs, but would run circles around one of the pentiums in multi-threaded applications)

yes it is, it is bias against amd and favours nvidia and intel. It exaggerated scores for intel and nvidia to make them seem better than they are. Although nvidia and intel are generally better they are also more expensive

It pisses me off that when you type XXX gpu vs XXX gpu, it almost only gives you sites that compare specs for specs. These comparison are worth nothing. I want actual benchmark.

Oh, that's stupid.

That's the onlything stupid on it the site as far as I can tell, it's really not biased otherwise, they factor in Power heat and noise into the scores as well.

 

Which usually lowers the AMD scores quite a bit.
