Probably not an IT geek, I know binary but I have no idea what you do when edit your registry, all I know is regedit and how to find some things in it.

Well it helps that I've been doing maths a lot recently, it's like that with all base systems. Hexadecimal is just base 15, so 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 A = 10 b = 11 C = 12 D = 13 E = 14 F = 15 just because you know we ran out of number symbols.

Well it helps that I've been doing maths a lot recently, it's like that with all base systems. Hexadecimal is just base 15, so 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 A = 10 b = 11 C = 12 D = 13 E = 14 F = 15 just because you know we ran out of number symbols.

Hexadecimal is base 16. You have to count the 0 along with 1-F.

It's the same with binary being base 2, not base 1. You have 0 and 1.

ooops lol yeah base 10 is 0-9 so 0-F being 16 makes sense. I just gone doofed it.

You can also just look at the name of it. Pentadecimal is base 15.

I'm likely an IT geek. I have most of my important data saved where I can get to it if my computer fails, but most of my data is going to get lost if my hard drive fails or something.
