Basically the most expensive of everything cos 1440p ultra on GTA V is pretty darn demanding, especially when you're aiming for 60fps minimum.

That would depend on where you're shopping/located and if a copy of Windows or any peripherals were included.

Coming from PS3, even PS4, GTA V at minimun keeps been better. so, I would go with a i7 4770k, ram between 1800 and 2400 MHz, GTX 970 and an SSD... The other pieces just a compatible ones... but the thing is, maybe not in ultra but this build will play most of the game at 90% graphics without problems (+60FPS easily)

Zappian made a good build and you can go for some 2nd hand stuff too, like the GPU

Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 290 4GB PCS+ Video Card  ($269.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Thermaltake VL80001W2Z ATX Mid Tower Case  ($36.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Not everything is as cheap as it could be, but I didn't want to compromise on certain things. You could probably live with a cheaper motherboard, an i5 4440 (as in @zappian's build) and no ssd, but I don't recommend it. For 1440p, if you MUST have ultra then you'll need to add another r9 290 and get an evga supernova g2 850w psu.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

1440p with no AA runs 5fps lower than no AA on 1080p.
