Specs: Core I7-2600K @ 4.5GHz @ 1.35V, 4x4GB Corsair Vengeance Black 1600MHz CL9, Cooler Master Evo 212, MSI Z77 Mpower Motherboard, Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X @ 1000/1400, Cooler Master HAF 932 Blue Edition w/ 3 Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 120MM fans (2 up top 1 in the bottom) replaced side panel with a window, and rear fan with a Cougar Hydraulic Bearing 140MM, Cooler Master GX 650 80+ Bronze PSU, Samsung DVD-RW, Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SSD, Seagate 750GB SATA III 7200RPM

What was the first consumer grade ram to hit 800MHz?

product or technology? I think it was DDR.

No I'm looking for a type of ram not specific model number.

I was referring to single cards.  The answer was GTX 480.

RD Ram which was before SD ram hit 800MHz frequency first.  I actually have 4 512MB RD 800MHz ram sticks laying around.

what speed are you talking about, there are multiple ways of rating ram in mhz?

 

PC2-6400 for example is 800MT/s not Mhz

7/22/13: In reference to SLC what is the life span of MLC and TLC.  Granted, SLC is generally enterprise grade and has more write cycles, I am looking for basic fractions explaining the difference.

No DDR2 ram was not the first ram to hit 800MHz.  RD ram was.
