Hello, i'm building a new gaming rig and i was wondering if the Obsidian Series® 450D Mid-Tower PC Case would fit my parts and my MOBO. The MotherBoard i'm using is a MSI Z97 Gaming 7, but then i started to wonder if not just my MOBO would fit, but my parts! Can you tell me if my case can fit all my parts well? (like with good airflow and etc)

My Parts:

PSU: RM Series™ RM550 — 550 Watt 80 PLUS® Gold Certified Fully Modular PSU

MOBO: MSI Z97 Gaming 7

GFX: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0

RAM: G.SKILL Trident X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2600 (PC3 20800) Desktop Memory Model F3-2600C10D-8GTXD

CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4690K Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz

DVD Drive: LiteOn 24x Internal SATA DVD RW Drive [iHAS124-14]

HDD: Kingston Digital HyperX FURY 120GB SSD SATA 3 2.5 Solid State Drive with Adapter (SHFS37A/120G)

Any help is appreciated!

I was wondering if the Obsidian Series® 450D Mid-Tower PC Case has good enough airflow for my parts, any answer is appreciated!

Hello, i was wondering if the Intel® Core™ i5-4690K Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz) comes with an air cooler, and if it doesn't, what air/water cooler should i get? Thanks!

In a word: Yes

It really depends on the video card length and the cooler you choose, and NVidia cards are usually small enough to fit in modern cases, unless its Gigabyte, those tend to be larger.

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

It comes with a cooler (Intel stock cooler).

It works, but if you want to overclock you will probably have to get different cooler. What were you looking to spend and do you have the room for radiators?

Stock cooler copes with boost speeds under full load, but barely. Get a 212 Evo if you're tight for money and call it at that

it does. but it doesnt really cool that good and is loud.

budget?

The stock cooler isn't loud if the case has any decent airflow and the cpu isn't oc'ed.

It comes with one, in fact I'm using the stock cooler from my i5 4690K right now.

If you don't plan to OC, the stock cooler is fine, though an aftermarket cooler such as the hyper 212 evo or an aio watercooler would be ideal.

i guess sound/loudness always depends on what your point of reference is and i think that you can generally say that it's louder than most after market options.

i agree, i should have said 'louder', loud is very subjettive.

I just got a i5-4690K + Maximus VII Hero into my second system a few days ago.

It's not particularly loud, but it's cooling performance isn't exactly great. I sit at ~38*C idling in the UEFI BIOS with room temperature under 20*C. It works for the CPU at bone stock settings.

The again, the system is housed in the Cooler Master HAF 912 with a 200mm fan in the front with the HDD cage removed, 200mm at the top, and a 120mm for the side and rear.
