Is there any use for this video card?

Keudn

I found a random ATI Rage 128 Pro 16MB sitting around and I wanted to know if this thing is even worth the few bucks to buy an adapter cable just to mess around with it.

Here is what the card is http://www.amazon.com/ATI-Rage-16MB-Video-109-63000-00/dp/B00B86RMBA

I don't plan on using it as a video card, I was wondering if there was any other uses I can use it for like just letting it fold in the background since it pulls no power and wouldn't effect my system in anyway

At this point its a collectors item, but completely useless for computing.  Your phone has 10x more computing power than that thing.

If you flash your GPU bios and mess something up, you can always it to reflash if you don't have integrated graphics.

Other than that, it's pretty much a paper weight.

You know your GPU is utter shit when it:

1. Is single slot

2. Doesn't have HDMI nor DisplayPort

3. Has passive cooling

4. So old it's ATI, not AMD

5. A MINUSCULE amount of ram

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!
