I pronounce it as cheapskates.  This in reference to what they did with the GTX 900 series cards when launched.

E.V.G.A is an acronym which in the inception meant...

 

E = Extended

V = Video

G = Graphics

A = Array

 

Now, if i remembered correctly from an EVGA podcast sometime ago, it means Excellent VGAs.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)
