thoughts on HD 7850 2Gbx2 and also 280x vs 670

Soooooooooo,

I noticed online a deal on a HD 7850 2GBx2 falling into my budget line and I wanted to know if it's worth while? It will be used to play MC, CS:GO, BF4/Hardline, TF2, Gmod, Skyrim and maybe GTAV.

I would also be trying out other games aswell.

It would be on a current resolution of 1440x900 monitor and I would potential be getting a second 1080p monitor aswell.

I also noticed deals on for 280xs and GTX 670s putting them at around the same price and depending wether I get the HD 7850 or not, which would better?

Thanks

So you want to crossfire that card? (an R9 270)

Heard that is not optimal. I would personally go for the 280X because performance an 3GB VRAM

280x I think.

I thought 1440x900 was your monitor resolution. Is the monitor resolution 1920x1080 but you choose to play on 1440x900?

Or do you have more than 1 monitor?

he probably has 1 1440x900 monitor and possibly thinking about a 2nd monitor (which he wants to be 1080p)

Nope. Not xfiring it. The card has double the Vramof the standard cards so it's effectively a r9 270 4gb

Oh, I thought you were to buy 2 270's (or 7850's).

You are better off with a 280X with 3GB VRAM compared to a 270 with 4GB.

The 280X is a better (stronger) card than the 270 so might actually be able to use the 3GB. If they are the same price, go for the 280X.

The 670 is a little less good than the 280X with only 2GB VRAM

It's not a R9 270 , the R9 270 is a 7870 .

The 7850 has less cores .

Ok. The situation is that at this place amazing deals come on every so often. In the times I've been looking there have been 3 times where the 280x has gone down to £90. Unfortunately all three times where times when I didn't have my wallet so couldn't buy and they were sold the next day. Today the 670 went down to £80 which was why I asked but has now been sold.

The r9 270 was put down to £50 and as far as I can tell, has not been sold
