Ivy Bridge-E and Haswell refresh "leak"

i dont think the ivy-E upgrade will be significant in contrast to Sandy-E. Better wait for haswell-E if you want something really big and powerfull i guess.

Looking like they will have PCI-E 3.0

I'm disappointed there is no 8  core 16 thread

Haswell-E is supposed to have upto 8 cores though only rumored

I might do it if its still X79 and the 4820 is really a K.  because that would be nice to get some better overclocking then my 3820 can do.

I've been thinking that, I might go down the Core i7-4820K route as well

I'm so tempted to upgrade from a 2600k for no reason. Maybe it's the elitest inside me.

Not sure if there will be a new chipset but it will still use socket 2011 and it will work on current X79 boards (after a BIOS update of course)

Looks like it is just another locked i7 with maybe a higher clock speed. Talking about the 4771.

Looks like we might see the new lower end CPUs soon!

I'm still using a 2700K!

They still have some on scan: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-core-i7-2700k-s-1155-sandy-bridge-quad-core-35ghz-8mb-cache-hd-3000-igp-850mhz-95w-retail

Microcenter had a killer deal on 2600Ks, but they ran out a little while ago.
