780Ti VS 970 !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Soooooooo I'm stuck between which graphics card to get for my rig...
I've done hours of research on these 2 cards (including looking at the Windforce 970 Edition and also the FTW 2.0 970 as well) and it seems that the 780Ti out performs the 970 series' cards in almost every way ? (probably not, I just most likely haven't looked hard enough)

 

Which do you prefer and why ??? I'll be stuck forever if I don't get any opinions hahaha HELP

I did watch this video and I'm still undecidec only factor being that the 780 is alot more expensive :\

780ti is a great card, but sometimes are overpriced considering their age, might be worth grabbing a 980 (unless there is a great deal on the 780ti)

 

There are some benefits to the newer cards, a quick example, better options for shadowplay on the 970 and 980 etc

If the 780TI is more expensive, go for the 970. If about the same price, go for whatever you'd like. I went for GTX 970, same price(exactly) as the 780 TI, have been happy about it.

I was just about to ask that haha does the Vram having a 1GB difference make a HUGE effect on gameplay such as those games like shadow of mordor which eat Vram, would the 780Ti only having 3GB still run as efficiently as a 970 having 4 GB ?

Nah id stick with a 970 though, get the gigabyte edition and with some OC'ing you can get 780ti like performance
