Would it be disagreeable to ask your sister to broach the subject with your mum before you talk to her? That way at least you've got a buffer.

I'd say come out while your sister is there. Or have her suggest things to your mom for a while to see what she thinks and then choose how to actually come out. It'll help to have someone on your side definitely. Good Luck. Hope it works out. :)

Or just listen to these guys... Because having your sister perhaps checking how they deal with the sound of it. Like, just trying to drop those few hints seeing how they respond, is a good idea.

(my teacher made the statement that "you cannot taste god, you cannot touch him, you cannot see him, therefore god dosent exist" i pulled out my lunch Box and ate my pasta while saying "hang on, im eating god" she gave me a Death stare and told me to report to her Office after School...)

I'm not entirely sure I agree with that. Biological imperatives are pretty powerful at driving social constructs.
Incest is pretty much the perfect example of it. I'd hypothesize that everything else is built on top of the biological reason for ick.
