Mmm, alright. I guess my point would be that if we can undermine the basis for the disgust about incest by saying something like 'don't breed and we won't care' then perhaps it won't be some huge issue any more for those who do care.
I sort of come at it from the old 'if its not harming anyone then who the frell cares' perspective that we've used to argue LGBT rights for so long. Only applying it in an apparently still controversial area.

Nah, no right to stopped what is being said, more so as I seem to be the minority. Doesn't stop one from speaking up against it, however.

SFW... Uhm. I'd like to argue that on the topic of incest its not something that qualifies as safe for work. All it takes is your boss walking by and seeing that word and it will get awkward at work, especially if you happen to work in a family company.

I once explained to my girlfriend what true love is. I said, "If you were a shit, I'd put you back in" and to this day, she is still my little shit.

If it makes you feel any better... I first came out to my mum by leaving a bag of "suspicious" clothing items in a really really obvious place then acted surprised when she found it...
And then I used facebook to come out to my mates, so either way you'll be braver than I.

There was an element of random chance to my coming out. In that mother might not have found the stuff and I might have never had the guts to say anything.
I'd suggest some of the places I used to frequent back when I started transition... But I honestly can't remember any. I know a good one was an image board, but that's about it.

Wait, 420chan's transgender section. That's the one. Though it always sort of dragged me down emotionally... constantly thinking about it all and hearing other peoples shite is most depressing if its 24/7.

Honestly if you're sure your mom won't take your news badly, just be sure that she won't tell your dad since I remember you saying he is homophobic and traditionalist (sounds like the kind of person you might find in the "Bible belt" of the US not sure if he would use religion to make his arguments.) But if Latvia is like many Western States, religion is separate from the business of the government though unfortunately that can't do too much about getting it out of others' personal lives.

I don't see much of a difference between the two things, any serious thinking atheist cannot say with certainty that a god/gods/deities exist so there always has to be a level of uncertainty there. Its just that there are so damned many of them that one can infer that they're probably all made up :P
Anyway, this Humanist has to get some modelling in to make pc reassembling today worth it.

i actually think my dad is an atheist so xD but every time there is someone who seems gay ... he is like "nah i dont like them ...."
