Well, for $100, it's not bad because the CPU, Mainboard, and heatsink are all in the package. Just need a PSU, RAM, storage, and case. I already have the case.

Hopefully you won't be as dumb as I was with my recent upgrade, where I had to refresh Windows to make it work as expected.

Either Linux or Unix is going on this bad boy. It's going to be a more proper NAS. Trying to find a cheaper PSU with decent review. I don't need a EVGA 550W Supernova G3. I just need an ATX24, 6+ SATA power, and maybe Molex. PCIe 6+2 pin if I can find a x1 SATA card that supports more than just 2 internal SATA. I don't even need EPS as far as I can see.

That reminds me, when I move out I should build a NAS. Although, you should install a dedicated NAS operating system like FreeNAS on it.

My current psuedoNAS is an Ubuntu server running SAMBA on an A10-6800K. Going from the 6800K, a 100W APU, to the J4205, a 10W CPU + iGPU, is going to be awesome. 

I might do that again, not sure though.

Nice I have a sort of nas that has no os yet  and no HBA card that I need cause 2 of the onboard sata ports don't work for some reason...

Try FreeNAS first. Setting up Ubuntu Server is fairly easy, a tad time consuming, but if you fuck up one line of text ever so slightly, you have to start all over becuase the install will no longer boot.

I also need to input a password EVERY time my machines reboot or wake from sleep. Regardless of 'remembered' credentials and automatic logins.
