Need a lightweight, slim powerful laptop for university

I have been looking into these laptops so far:

XMG p505 pro: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Schenker-XMG-P505-PRO-Clevo-P651SG-Notebook-Review.132393.0.html

Gigabyte P35X v3-CF1: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Gigabyte-P35X-v3-Notebook-Review.129889.0.html

MSI GS70 2QE Stealth Pro: http://www.notebookcheck.net/MSI-GS70-2QE16SR51-Notebook-Review.134025.0.html

Been thinking about the Alienware 15 but that's a bit thicker

I live in the UK and my budget is 1300 GBP (inc vat) which is roughly 1100 GBP without vat.

Any suggestions? I need to make a decision soon-ish.

Just curious as to why "powerful" is a prerequisite for a university laptop? What are you studying?

Nah powerful is just because I like video games. I'm doing Physics with some computer science on the side.

What is the temperature like? I've seen reviews about it with that being really hot under load so I had my concerns about it.

The MSI GS series should be really good. I would prefere that over the others. Though the new G501 looks really nice too http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/G501JW/

I did think about this, getting a desktop + dell xps. However I will be gaming on the move A LOT as I will travel between cities quite often for family.

like I said. I don't own it yet. I still have to wait a month or 2. but for the time iv tryed it. it wasn't that bad. was farely warm to the touch, but nothing too bad. I was playing battlefield 4 on ultra settings for about 30 min on sport mode for the gpu

you wont be gaming on the move. You'll always be tethered to a wall for gaming. I wish gaming laptops would last longer but NOPE

Personally I'm debating over the GS 60 or 70. Also interested in Asus' 501 that's yet to be released.

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”
