Dust proof, water resistant case released

spwath

I kinda like the idea of it being so dust resistant for those people who bring me their machines asking why it's not running like it used to and I open it and can't even see components through all the dust. lol
Or as otherwise mentioned it'd be great for my garage computer.

Yeah, I feel it would be great for garage/shop applications.

Things where there is saw dust and motor oil flying about.

Would also be useful for other liquids that may fly about a PC :) :)

the HEPA standard involves the blockage of 99.97 of airborne particles larger than 0.3 micro-meters. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HEPA

So pretty much.

Only downside is that you will need to use fans with good static pressure, or they simply will not work. Car air filters are HEPA's IIRC so that gives you a rough idea of the kind of pressure they normally need for any decent airflow. Making a HEPA filter efficient enough for small 120mm/140mm fans deserves praise imo.

but seriously, a DEMCI filter will stop 90% of dust. This is overkill for any household imo.

i need a DEMCI filter my house has so much dust in it

Oh hey, the MM01 is out!? I was wondering if it would ever be released, last I heard anything about it was over a year ago. I gotta say it looks much nicer than the prototype they had on display before.

Silverstone resently added "the mammoth" to their site.

It is a dust proof (uses very thorough filter) (edit ITS A HEPA FILTER!!!!)

Spill proof (no top vents, downward slats)

Uses same basic frame/layout as ft04/rv04, so dual 180mm fans.

Link.

Also, Linus saw this at ces 2013. There is a video, of an older model.
