So I'm a HUGE fan of Morrowind... And I want to dive in again... But I want to MOD it this time! I never got all that into modding skyrim or any other ES games because I liked the "vanilla" experiance

Any morrowind mods you would suggest(mainly looking for visual, don't really wanna change the experience much)

Same goes for skyrim, what visual mods do you suggest?

Here is a good list of some sweetfx presets for skyrim. I am not going to said one is best b/c it is all personal preference, but check it out.

http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/game/61/

I would also check out reshade if you haven't already http://reshade.me/

Looks like there are some DOF issues in skyrim but that can be disabled.

You will get this.

You will install it.

You will shed tears of happiness.

You won't thank me, for I have been vanquished; I never installed it.

*Spirit comes back*

Oh and for Skyrim, RealENB is where it's at, same goes for SkyUI, SkyRE (now called something else, i cant remember), Convenient Horses, Advance Followers Tweak, Midas Spells, Scoped Bows, Static Mesh Improvement Mod

The list goes on for ages. Check out Gopher on Youtube.

And MAKE SURE you use Mod Organizer and not NMM, MO is by far the better solution since it provides versatility, flexibility and compatibility.

For Skyrim, Realistic Lighting Overhaul, 2K Textures, Pure Waters and Climates of Tamriel are givens for me, as well as SMIM. Skyrim Flora Overhaul and Better Dynamic Snow are very nice as well but don't transform the game nearly as much (all still keep a very close to vanilla experience). For visual mods, after that, you have the uGridsToLoad setting that do improve the game a lot but is a little weird so I suggest watching this great video by GophersVids :

. And then, you fall in the world of ENB mods, with which not all lighting (Realistic Lighting Overhaul) mods and weather mods (Climates of Tamriel). I personally love Project Reality ENB.

Other popular (and great) texture mods include the armor texture mod, aMidianBorn Book of Silence (love the black elven armor). This mod improves pretty much all of the common armors, which you see very often. I also love BGM's Glass armor is unbeatable for that armor, to my eyes, although I do prefer Realistic Transparent Glass Armor and Weapons, the weapons version only, for the glass weapons. Another mod that improves textures (meshes in that case) for weapons is Leanwolf's Better Shaped Weapons. The change is incredible, making every sword look like an actual sword and less like a paddle. Other mods you absolutely need include Winter is Coming - Cloaks and Cloaks of Skyrim.

Other Mods also improve the vanilla experience, like Organized Bandits In Skyrim, that makes the bandits feel like a little more than armed farm boys, I love the change. Civil War Overhaul actually makes the Civil War quest line interesting.

Hope I helped, and there are many more I could suggest if need be. Sorry, but I never modded Morrowind so can't help you there.

If you are new to TES modding, you will need SKSE, Sky UI and the Unofficial Patches for the game and DLCs.

P.S. If you are into it, GophersVids (on YT) has plenty of series about Skyrim Modding (Beginner's Guide, that's usually where I refer anyone new to Skyrim modding, series dedicated to choosing an ENB, 100+ episodes covering mods, etc.). All are useful and great.

Well, sorry I cannot help you with modding Morrowind (I've done it before, but I'm sure there are people who can do it far better than I), but I have spent a lot of time modding skyrim, so I'll give you what I can.

Firstly, we need to get the boring stuff out of the way that will make the game playable.

SKSE
http://skse.silverlock.org/
ENBoost
http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrim.htm
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38649/?
SSME
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/?
The Unofficial Patches
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23491/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31083/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25127/?

These mods are basically essential to playing the game correctly with stability. I'm sure you could find information about why these are necessary, but yeah, moving on...

If you want the BEST experience with textures, then the Mod Combiner is the way go about it, but it isn't exactly quick, so I'll be giving you the best of the more basic mods.
Mod Combiner: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51467/?

Skyrim 2k: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/?
That is basically the all-encompassing pack (It doesn't actually touch nearly anything, but it does do a lot). Most popular. Good.

Skyrim Flora Overhaul: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/141/?
The predominate flora mod, very good, highly recommended.

Ruins Clutter Improved: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14227/?
Retex/remodel of dungeon stuff, looks great.

Static Mesh Improvement Mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655/?
Remeshes of lots of the bad looking meshes in the game. Very highly recommended.

Realistic Water Two: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41076/?
Essentially the best water mod right now, makes the water look incredible.

Enhanced Blood Textures: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60/?
Does exactly what you would expect it to do. Looks great.

Ultimate HD Fire Effects: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28642/?
I can't remember if there has been a better fire mod since, but this one is good and has been around for a long time.

Detailed Rugs: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29608/?

A Book of Silence: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24909/?
Retex of armours and weapons. Fantastic mod.

Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Series:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38539/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56137/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58461/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59563/?
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59469/?
Nice textures for the Landscapes, Caves, Clouds, Mountains, and Dragons

Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43773/?
Great audio mod that makes the game feel much more realistic.

Vivid Landscapes: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49344/?
Has great textures for all sorts of things, most of which include Parallax maps.

This is certainly a good start to a mod list, but I'm sure there's a lot missing here. If you want me to go on, then I could go on, but this stuff is the most important to getting the best looking game possible.

For Skyrim there are things that are "needed". :)

Utilities:

Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) - Not only for the utility it provides other mods, but also for improved memory handling.

LOOT - Will automatically attempt to sort your load order correctly, an incorrect load order can cause game instability and CTD at startup.

Any ENB (URL to ENB Presets on Nexusmods) - If only for the ENBoost functionality, will improve VRAM handling. Personally I use Realvision, which does require certains mods.

Youtube user Hodilton has some amazing videos showing just how beautiful Skyrim can look.

A Mod Manager - Makes installing and uninstalling much easier. Personally I only see two choices Nexus Mod Manager or Mod Organizer. The latter is a bit more complicated, but offer better control.

Mods:

Stable uGridsToLoad - Allows you to modify the uGridsToLoad ini setting without breaking your savegame. Great source of information in this

.

The Unofficial Patches. These fixes sooo many bugs with the game, just browse through their respective changelogs to see how much have actually been fixed.

Unofficial Skyrim Patch

Unofficial Dawnguard Patch

Unofficial Hearthfire Patch

Unofficial Dragonborn Patch

SkyUI - Improves the inventory immensely and provides an ingame menu system (MCM) for other mods.

Better Dialogue Controls - The default dialog interface can be a bit annoying at times, you think you've selected one option, but acutally it selects something else.

Better MessageBox Controls - Allows for improved keyboard usage in messageboxes and makes it easier to click options.

In regards to the look of Skyrim, there are many choices.
Most of the popular retextures have already been mentioned by others.

My own preference is Skyrim Mod Combiner. Mainly because I'm too lazy to install each texturing mod to find what I like.

The author spends countless hours scouring the mods and picks out what he thinks are the best possible combination of mods and individual textures.

The program then combines it all into one easy to install file.

Also if you are getting crashes or infinite loading screens you should download memory block log and see if the 1º block goes over 256 mb, if it does the game will crash but you can download a memory patch.

Gopher has a great video explaining that. Would recommend to watch gopher's modding tutorial, that is where I started.

One mod that is necessary is frostfall it really adds to the immersion of the game.

cpu:I7 4770k @ 4.3   gpu: 3.5 gb ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) GTX 970 @ 1530MHZ   Ram: 16Gb

Should note that the memory patch was integrated into SKSE version 1.7.0, current stable version is 1.7.1.

- thanks to sheson: added configuration of some initial pool sizes	[Memory]	DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB= <default heap initial allocation size in megabytes, vanilla size is 512>	ScrapHeapSizeMB= <scrap heap size in megabytes, vanilla size is 256>

Source SKSE Changelog: http://skse.silverlock.org/skse_whatsnew.txt

Agree on the Gopher statement, just be prepared, he does things slowly, explaining a lot.

And +1 to Frostfall, in my must-have mod list.
