Why Did You Join The LTT Forums?

dadasmithywinkle

I wanted to be part of a forum again, I don't like reddit and other forums are not really that organized because they have an immense amount of users.

I started in here because I wanted to build my first gaming pc and needed some help. My life pretty much changed at that moment, not really just my homepage lol

Long time lurker, first time contributor (last month).

There is no better daily collection of tech news around the globe pertaining to the things I care about.

I practice and study Buddhism, admire art, love cats, build computers and enjoy civil debate.

I joined simply to partake in the first blood campaign and give back for all the content I had watched over the years, stayed 'cause of all the stuff to read about.

Cheers,

Linus

To join a mature community to discuss and learn.

Too bad the immaturity took over of people with names like "MLGREKT420" and posting bullshit all of the time so I am pretty inactive these days.

Forums feel like dinosaurs to me, never got into posting on reddit, and always found smaller communities more valuable to myself. In the early days, various forums we're vital to self-learning different interests of mine. Joining here to be part of a cool community of PC & techworld enthousiasts.

Linus kept talking about it in his YouTube vids. Not really big on forums but I like this one.

Love cats and Linus. Check out linuscattips-fan-club. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Z9QDVn and Asus ROG Swift. I love anime as well. Check out Heaven Society heaven-society. My own personal giveaway thread http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/387856-evga-geforce-gtx-970-giveaway-presented-by-grimneo/.

How about this.

I got extremely bored with LTT, had other things to do, GFL and Reddit(CS:GO) seemed more appealing to me than LTT.

Left.

I occasionally check.

I joined to meet like minded people who aren't total arseholes who lick the arse of a company who couldn't give two flying fucks about them (AMD, Apple, Intel ect ect).

So far there are a lot people i've met on here which meet that criteria in which is why I am still here.

Also I find that Linus Tech Tips are the best source of tech news and I like to support LMG which is why I became a contributor.

Reason #1: LTT Forums is a better community than the YouTube comments.

Reason #2: Read reason #1.

Because I was on overclock.net (still kinda am) and on OC3D (not anymore) and got bored of the fighting and fanboyism. I joined LTT and TekSyndicate forums and now everything is awesome.

I originally joined the TekSyndicate forum, but as a drifted away from Logan and the gang I came to prefer LTT.  Much richer forum, more new blood, and IMO more varied discussion happens here.
