My PC gaming is dying.

Mush Brain

Good for you. I respect your opinion. I use my PC for more than gaming, so I couldn't swap back. Honestly, I find myself playing less and less games. I haven't really played a game in about a week and a half.

But, it's not dying. I'm just getting busier. PC gaming is superior imo.

same here I am really busy with my i.t classes and just dont have a lot of time to play games hell, i actually decided to create a ubuntu virtual machine just so I could have a productive enviroment and not be distracted.

I feel ya bruh, my mates all have PS4's too. I kind of want one too. :P

Don't think I'll enjoy Project Cars, BF4, Uncharted 4 and GTA V. Any less on consoles unless they're not 1080p 60fps.

Not sure whether I should follow through because I really want to get into building again.. or maybe save money and go i5-4660 + H97 Plus instead of 4790K + Ranger VII.

dude, if all your friends are on ps4 i would compermise get a xeon and h97 board, and a 290 or similar and get a ps4. I have decided i will get the next cersion of the ps4 (slim version) so i would guess that will be about a year away

It probably just because there are no games for you at the moment but for most of us there are games for us. I am doing just fine with gaming. Just so you know the most played game ever is a PC exclusive so I hardly see how it's dying out. If anything it's growing while console is stagnating.

Erm PS3 boots, you play games.

PC boots you wait for apps to load then sign in, then fiddle with the game if it don't run right.

SSD does not magically make it better, my PC is still a slower process than sitting back on my PS3, factor in the stupid slow uefi too that needs like 10 seconds to boot.

Just can't be arsed with it all no more, sorry my opinion does not match yours, or maybe you should hit up /pcmr

ITT: Debating the longevity of PC gaming based on comparative boot-up times.

People are foaming at the mouth purely because I stated PC is dying for me, it literally has nothing fun for me right now, and it's more hassle after work too.

I never once said I was abandoning PC though.

There's a big difference between a platform dying, and "not enjoying it".

It is your own preference, you can like / dislike whatever you want, but that doesn't mean it is dying.

Many people, such as the majority of us here, continue to enjoy the platform, along with many others, and it continues to grow.

TL;DR you're wrong

Then one has to wonder why you had to say it initially in such a troll-y way. Let's look at the title you gave this thread: "PC Gaming is Dying." Period. ...for me.

Are you really so surprised to see it devolve into a brain-dead argument over personal preferences? I don't know what you thought this was going to be.

I don't give a fuck if you have a different opinion than me, do whatever the fuck you want. I'm just saying the points you are making are so stupid and completely invalid........ "Erm PS3 boots, you play games. PC boots you wait for apps to load then sign in, then fiddle with the game if it don't run right. SSD does not magically make it better, my PC is still a slower process than sitting back on my PS3, factor in the stupid slow uefi too that needs like 10 seconds to boot." Bruh.... Bruh......

I have a PS3 and it takes 20 minutes to load a game from the Blu ray disc.

YOU NEED TO FIND MORE GAMES ON PC that you really enjoy playing. There are TONS of great games on both. Just find the games you like. It also doesn't matter that you like playing on a console. Consoles are fun and easy.

Despite what anyone says, console and PC gaming both offer a very unique feel and experience. It's nice to float between them both every now and then. I really wish I a still had my Xbox 360, since I really want to play Halo 3 ODST right now.

Considering diminishing returns on PC system gaming quality kicks in at £1100-1300 and you spent well over £3500, we can assume you didn't know what you were doing anyway, your brain subconciously knows this fact and is ashamed, thus making you imagine consoles are more fun because it doesn't want to repeat such a huge mistake.

Anyway, if you already spent £4000 you could probably afford a controller or two. Probably.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Stop feeding the troll, please.

What the hell is this here? Should I start a topic every time I stop enjoy something? How about "FPS Shooters are dying" because I haven't played battlefield 4 in three weeks...

Yeah because you can't purchase PC games from a shop that come in disc format......

Aneceote :-

Was shopping with the wife months ago . We were at a BIG shopping centre [1] and I was soon bored trailing around the shops so I went in to one called "Game" it had huge areas devoted to PS3 and huge areas to XBox one.  How much did it have devoted to pc?  An aisle, nope. A wall, nope. One shelf and it only had two games on it and one of those was just the box; so one game you could purchase, six months ago, in a BIG shopping centre.  Asking an assistant why there was so little PC stuff he talked of everything being downloaded now, and that there was no future in selling discs for PC games. If there was only ONE disc six months ago how many are there now (easily availlable)?
