Everything is possible but this is totally unlikely. They are not done with updating the game for at least this year. And I highly doubt they would come out with GTA VI anytime before end of 2016 since it took them long enough to release GTA V.

However if they decide to get on one year release cycle like other companies do then they are limiting themselves and stressing out devs to produce any decent content for consumers. I.e. it would be unfinished piece of shit with no innovation.

How long did it take them to make this one, 5 years?  GTA is a $3bil franchise so it's safe to conclude that there will be sequels. The staggered release was a very lucrative idea.  Kick off in 2013 and sell the bulk on the most widespread consoles, give "next gen" some time and release that version a year later, then hold the PC version hostage for another 6 months. Waiting til two weeks before announced date to announce a delay, such a dick move...

They'll milk GTA V for a while, maybe release some DLC down the road. GTA 6 is already in the works but it will be a while before they announce anything, I'm guessing 2 years. The game wouldn't be as successful if it were an annual recycle title so R* having made all that $$$, there is no reason to rush.

If this generation of consoles lasts 5 years, you can expect GTA 6 to come out on PS4 and X1, just before the next consoles launch.

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?
