[US-Newegg] Actually a Good prebuilt $799

Mohenjo

Case is shit, CPU & GPU are unbalanced. (i5 and 290x or 970 would be much better)

Sure looks custom watercooled to me in the first pic. (Obviously just a single CPU AIO cooler used, and the GPU is air cooled)

Though with that deal it looks pretty decent. ($799.99)

Its not as unbalanced as an i7 running with a GTX 650, and then a GTX 750 when the build was slightly upgraded (I'll probably see it with a GTX 950 when they come out). Oh, and it also has a 750W PSU.

You do all realise that ibp probably use a complete reference amd card, not from any good brands, also might be a bad motherboard with a z97 chipset chucked in there. Don't quote me on this, i havent fully researched this, but ibp dont generally have very good low end builds.

If you look in the pictures, it's an asrock z97 anniversary and a msi 285. Generally manufacturers that do custom built pc use regular hardware that you can buy.

Yes, but there isn't much point in going for an i7 in a gaming build as it will only offer a slight benefit in 1-2 games, other than that its just as good as an i5.

People think i7 = amazing gaming performance, so when they see an i5, they think it's shit. They'd probably make less money putting an i5 and 290 in there unfortunately.

RIP in pepperonis m8s

It'll cost about $1000 to build yourself.

On sale its cheaper, but the regular price of the pre-built I think was around $1100.

Look through newegg and you'd see Gigabyte, XFX, ASUS and more have "Radeon" right in the title for their graphics cards.

It seems like there are some people in this topic just looking for reason to dismiss the thing.

It is actually a pretty solid build for the sale price.

No no not implying the item is bad because of this - not the first time i see images on shops not match the description, usually not made by the same person.

Gaudy looking case.

You can also do better for $800.

Are you srs? 4790k on a z97 motherboard with 8 gigs of ram, 1 tb hard drive , r9 285 for less than 800$. 4790k is at least 280$ + 220$ for r9 285 +100 $ for a cheap z97 mobo + 60 $ for cheap 600 watt power supply + 55-60$ for 1 tb hard drive + 60$ (at least for ram)  + 20$ for optical drive + 50$ (lets say) for the cpu liquid loop + 5$ for bs mouse and keyboard. The total I get is 850 $ is what I was able to calculate when including a shitty power supply that will blow your pc if you attempt to overclock(the one they provide is probbaly already like that though) and pretty realistic pricing. I doudt it is possible to do better except if all parts are purchased used or stolen. Prove me wrong

Ibp "quality"...
