Add Coda 2 to the text editor section, it is very good for Mac users and programmers on mac.

BBEdit is another text editor for mac users, and programmers, its free, but for Coda 2 you need to pay for it.

Not sure if "Tutorialized", was shutdown, changed domains, or something like that, but at this moment, I believe Tutorialized no longer exists

You should include "A smarter way of learning python" ,I think its a lot easier to understand and it also includes projects in every chapter.

I feel the book list really misses out on C# in Depth from Jon Skeet. It's an excellent resource for learning C#, for people that are already familiar with C style and/or object oriented languages.
I came from Java and absorbed this book, and after I was done reading and doing a little experimenting with what i read, i believe i was already better in C# than I've been in Java, since I had no problem understanding even advanced topics like generics etc. on the spot.

If possible, I think VSCode should be added to the text editors.

Also, for JavaScript, I think adding a "advanced" section with React/Next (primarily Next), TailwindCSS, Node, Express/Deno, and Mongoose/Prisma would be helpful. That's the primary realm that JS is in today and what most good projects use. Most tutorials can be found through google, and they all have decent getting started sections.

Just using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through those basic resources won't really help someone make a proper website/app today.

The IDE 'Geany' from geany.org is amazing, lightweight and supports highlights for many different languages. It also supports some amazing plugins. It's also open-source! Can this be added to the thread?

Thanks!

My legendary budget setup:

  • Audio: LG Type-C Earphones
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-5500U
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce 840M + Intel IGPU
  • RAM: 8Gb Hynix 1600MHz RAM DDR3
  • HDD: 1TB 5400RPM 2.5"
  • Keyboard: HP KU0316
  • And yes, its the HP Pavilion 15-p220na

So long time no see guys hah, but I was hoping for a guide not to IOS but macOS. I daily a Mac at the moment because my GPU has shit the bed and cannot afford a replacement. However on my MacBook Pro I used a very nice utility to display temperatures in the menu bar across the top. Kicker here is that after some time you need to pay for it, and I want to try and make one. My development history is limited to java for Minecraft plugins while that was still around.. Any how any input would be appreciated.

Where's VS Code? Also maybe it would be helpful if this talked about which language you need for what.
