Seems like that's not the issue.

As he said thread's OP provided more sources, but seems like Stingbull ignored it and started to flame

Sources weren't even the issue. My original source grabbed its information from FINANICAL DOCUMENTS. Document that only come from a company itself. Sure, the analysis of those numbers was laced with bias, what source isn't, but there numbers were there for anyone to see and that's what the post was based off of.

The other source that was listed was simply the original report from SAMSUNG themselves, no additional analysis or commentary from anyone else.

That's why the post got removed. It was trying to illicit fanboy level flaming for no reason at all. The fact that he felt so offended to make a post here? Doesn't make me look bad, that's for sure.

Listen up boys and girls. I'm a LTT nobody. I'm not famous. I have no power. I get reported on, I report. I post my best (and my worst). Don't call me out when a mod slaps you down. I had nothing to do with it, as much as I'd like to think I did. You broke enough of the CoC that a mod did their bloody job and cleaned the thread up.

This is the first thing that was stated.

His original post, in my honest opinion, was designed to illicit a flame war by questioning the authenticity of the source simply because it was a biased one

The fact that you bothered to call someone out over this makes me think the subject got a little too personal for you, and that probably reflects in your posts. Maybe it was right to be deleted.

 

Although, some of the moderation in this forum has been kinda stupid. I think at least we should have an adult only forum where we can post and discuss anything (legal of course) without it getting deleted.

I normally avoid arguments, but if you're going to start saying things that aren't true at all, I start to fire shots.

I avoid arguing like the plague, unless of course I could easily combat the other party without making myself look idiotic in the process, and if I'm not in the wrong. That involves not parading myself like I'm superior and not insulting the other party.

 

I try not to keep up with a post war if I'm being insulted or personally attacked. At that point, I just report them.

Considering the user you are complaining about has been on my ignore list for yonks, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt though I have no insight on the quarrel.

 

Which brings me around to the solution: the ignore function.

I know, when a ''mod'' (not going to say any names) felt like I was insulting somebody with a meme -that was CLEARLY sarcasm and humor- and he decided to give me a warning point. I almost wanted to leave but I think he isn't active anymore so it's good.

 

These kind of things always happen and I understand the frustration of injustice.

That happened to me too early in the forum's life. An extremely common and harmless meme as well. I almost walked away back then, but decided to snort hard and brush it off.

Having read both your comments here and your comments in that thread, while I do apologize that someone didn't contact you regarding why your content was removed until you asked why, unfortunately we don't always have the time. The moderation team is made up of 16 moderators plus Slick to oversee things. We work, we study and we have lives so we can't be on 24/7 to resolve issues. There are currently 11 open cases and a total of 68 cases totaling more than 100 individual reports in the last 24 hours have been generated. While we would like to and aim to contact every member regarding whatever the various issues are, unfortunately we don't have the man power. 

 

With regards to removing content on the forums many people forget that this is a private community. While we wholeheartedly agree that the internet shouldn't be censored at the same time we need to draw a line with what is and isn't tolerated here. Otherwise things would be out of control, some guy would be trying to sell bongs on the classifieds section and the PC gaming section would be all about XXX mods for Skyrim.

 

If you have a question about what happened with something you've posted or similar, report your own profile and explain what the issue is. You can trying PMing Slick or another one of the staff here though you may not get a response quickly because as I said, we're not around 24/7. 

 

One other thing is that people think mods aren't held accountable - well we are. Every action is tracked as per below as well as in various other ways. Reports can't be completely erased so you can't be beaten into submission with no proof of staff wrongdoing.
