I do hope it is a joke

Probably broken already and making a funny video.

My hardware needs a clean like this though. Not cleaned for about a year now... -_-

I hope it was.  Just take the shroud off your card and use a can of compressed air to clean it.

Don't see why everyone is making such fuss about this. If electronics are powered off, there is no danger in pouring water over it. I would recommend rinsing it with distilled after the shower, though. Make sure you dry it enough and you're fine...

After shaking off the excess water submerge your graphics card in rice. It will absorb all excess moisture.

It works for cell phones. Just saying.

actually the rice attracts people who like rice and in return for the rice they fix whatever device is in the rice

This wont harm it one bit if it is dry before he puts power through it

True for pure H2O, but tap water has other conductive minerals/metals etc that won't evaporate... I would recommend some sort of PCB wash after, or initially lol

Should be fine if he doesn't try turning it on for a few days to get rid of all that water.

Fixed it for you.

Maybe future PCB and components will have water resistance. I saw some random video that my friend shared in fb. Maybe I'll post here later. I just need time to dig it out.

Hint : It prevents any dirty liquid or clean liquid to stick on them.
