Is there any point of getting a gaming mousepad?

Mood

I've been using a steelseries qck mousepad that sells for 10 dollars. I was thinking about getting a new one but is there a point to get a "MADE FOR GAMING OMG SUCH WOW" type mousepad?

Has someone taken your faith?

Its real, the pain you feel.

Yes, you give companies more money, and they in turn give you more FPSs, more frags and more epeen

I say no, but then again, I'm happily using a $1 mousepad from Artcow.com with a custom decal on it, and before that I was using a soft-material mouse pad from a 1990's Gateway computer -- also with no complaints (I'm actually still using that one at home).

Isn't the QcK kind of a gaming mousepad?

I've been using it for a while, but I want to get a bigger version.

Gaming, no. I did get a large mouse pad made out of a hard plastic (Corsair MM200?) that glides like nothing else I've owned and don't think I can ever go back to a cloth one.

Gaming anything is meaningless. In the end there are simply good and bad products.

Really depends on your own preferences. I for one wouldn't go back to cheap mousepads. I own one of that kind, which is almost as nice as my old QcK. Gaming branded pads are usually bigger than basic ones. Made with finer cloth, glass or hard plastic. And thinner. If none of those is issue for your comfortability, don't get one.

the QcK is a decent pad, I think steelseries got the input of a load of professional CS players on it.
