Hey,

Just wondering what would be the best GPU's for 4K @ 60fps flat out [i know at the moment even SLI struggles for 60fps flat out].

I am coming into £5,000 around November [Lucky or what :P] and I am going to get a 4K monitor because I am one of THOSE guys hehe and would be wonder what would be a good choice, I was thinking EVGA/Gainward 980's in SLI with my i7 4770 [Didn't choose K version because I was a scrub lord] I was thinking IF Nvidia release their 980ti or 990 I would get two tis or one 990 but on the other hand I would like to get the infamous R9 390X in Crossfire if and when the release it possible soon so I am hearing, not keen on the Titans since they are literally a waste of money for gaming when you could get Two 970s.

Open to suggestions? I am aware Novemember is a LONG way away but I am open to suggestions for a setup or should I wait until AMD/Nvidia release more GPU's?

My current rig -: I can am fairly sure it can handle two cards [CPU specs]

Case:                 Coolermaster HAF 932 Advanced [Full tower]

CPU                   Cooler: Akasa Voodoo Extreme - Note: This air cooler is REALLY underrated for £40!

CPU:                  i7 4770 3.2GHz

RAM:                 8gb of G.Skill 1600 Ripjaws [soon to be 16gb]

Hard drives: 2    HDD Western Digitals 1 - 1TB WD OEM [6years old] and 1 2TB WD Black

Motherboard:    Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UDH3

PSU 1:               Corsair GS 700 [upgrading to the Corsair AXi 860]

Many thanks :)

Aphala

This thread is a little premature, no?

Also the 4770 is fine. There's no reason to get a K processor if you don't overclock. I got the K SKU, and never needed to OC. It was pointless.

970 sli.

4GB is fine for 4K.

If money is no object, 4GB isn't enough for everything.

The 390X is probably going to be the best solution once it comes out. Right now the 8GB 290Xs or Titan Blacks are the best solution, although very expensive.

He is going for a 860W PSU so that won't work, it can handle a single one of these monsters, but with 2 you need to look at the 1200W+ range in PSUs

@dizmo

I am open to suggestions, You can never be sure with the PC component market with all the delays and I like the internet when they get stuck into a subject that deals with components :) and suggestions give me a good position on what I could/should go with and 9 months isn't a year but I know where you are coming from :P

@Everyone

Cheers for the suggestions and watercooling a new area for me, traditional Air cooled man myself but I am open to waterblocking if it means better performance, gota any guides you guys? I mean I would hope from what I hear the 990 or 980ti would be out before 2016 since AMD SHOULD pump out a 3XX due to Nvidias latest 9XX series but as I said above I like to get a general idea of what MAY be getting produces for 2015 I currently have a 6970 which as you can tell is dated almost 4 years as of September 2015 and 2gb of VRAM is not cutting it anymore even Minecraft is struggling by making my GPU hit 75+ degrees and revving my fans [single fan card sadly...]

I don't see how asking for an opinion now is pointless, what if I saved up for a card that someone suggests in this thread and get it before November...that is kinda rude mate. As you CLEARLY missed I said suggestions, it would help if you actually read what I posted;)
