Unfortunately, from what I've read, Jesse Ventura sued Chris Kyle for stating illegitimate information, etc, and won over a million in damages.

I hate Jesse Ventura. He's a douchebag idiot.

 

That said...I have heard many good things about the movie. I will have to watch it this week.

Actually that is why the movie was made by Clint Eastwood,

 

Long story short:

Jesse Ventura talking shit about Navy Seals in a Coronado, CA bar, Chris Kyle stood up for Navy Seals, fight broke out Jesse Ventura got shoved to ground, Jesse Ventura is unable to get any work after the incident  so he sues for defamation of character, but not Chris Kyle but of his widow. Jesse Ventura wins $1.8 million under a liberal judge. Clint Eastwood steps in and says fuck that, give me the rights to make his movie, pay out the $1.8 million and you will get $10 million +.

Forgive me El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education...

His friend Chad Littlefield was also killed, but they did not want to take away from the story.

I watched it. It was really good and didn't have the same kind of one sided preachiness that tended to accompany films based on the events of this time, but rather, tell a story about the man himself and what was going around him.

I remember seeing Chris Kyle in one of the Sons of Guns episodes.  Such a shame he had to go that way.

You really should watch it. It's an incredible movie that deserves the overwhelming ticket prices.

I herd it's one of the biggest propangada movies of the year and that guy who wrote the book was a sociopath who hated that one religion.

 

Sociopath? Lord, who told you all of this?

 

People really hate the idea of a story being told about soldiers, especially our soldiers. They will fight it tooth and nail. CNN recently ran a "The Real Story" about Kyle and tried to paint him out to be some super soldier the government created to kill car thieves and other things. All of which is based on heresy that they passed as the absolute truth.

 

I say you should give the movie a shot, and decide for yourself what it is. :)

I have to laugh at the people who are saying it is a nothing more than a war glorifying propaganda film, you obviously didn't watch it.

It is all about the mental and emotional toll that war takes on soldiers. We Were Soldiers and Saving Private Ryan do a hell of a lot more glorifying of war than American Sniper.

Second, try reading the book. He clearly stated his views. We don't have to agree, but don't spit out something you just heard. Do some research for yourself.

Bradley Cooper did a great job and I consider him to be one of the best actors out there. Remember he was Rocket Racoon in Guardians of the galaxy.
