Hi, recently 2 of my fan headers died and i decided to buy a splitter but I don't know what should I go with.

I have 3 options:

1. 3pin to 6x3pin splitter.

2. sata to 6x3pin splitter.  (12v)

3. molex to "whatever"x3pin splitter.

Any help is appreciated.

The 3 Pin to 6x3 would need somesort of power cable elsewhere...

Id'e go for option 1.

sata and molex splitters are the same, they will give a constant 12 volts and make your fans run at 100%

a 3 pin fan splitter will make them run based on the fan curve your motherboard has set

but do not connect 6 fans to a single header or you will blow it

at most do 2-3 fans per 3 pin header

Wow, that was fast. Yeah I don't plan to connect 6 fans to a single header.

The problem lies in my MOBO it has 2 headers and 1 has the cpu on it and my case(Corsair graphite 230t) has 3 fans.

3 fans is probably the max you could use from 1 header. I won't add more fans than that.

If you do want to add more fans, a fan controller is probably a better idea then.

Since 3 fans are max I found one that splits into 3 headers and I'm gonna buy that.

Thanks guys.
