(poll) Will you buy GTA 5 after waiting 1+ year ?

So i was having a conversation earlier today about this , he said he isnt going to buy it because rockstar keep pushing it back and stuff 

 

I will be getting it but i wont be buying it if that makes sense , My Girlfriend is gonna get it for me , but if she wasnt then i wouldnt buy it anyway 

 

So what are your guys views on this ? are you going to buy it regardless of how long it takes or has it gone to far ?

Fuck GTA, I couldn't give less of a fuck. GTA 2 was awesome because it was basically "Fuck shit up to go to the next level". That's just not it anymore

yes I didnt buy it on console for a reason, we all told Rockstar we wanted it on PC, and now they have done it, if we want rockstar to take PC seriously we all need to buy it, then maybe in the future (if Gta 5 does well on PC) they will give us a better release dates on time with the consoles and better optimisation!

You can't convince me, I tried it on PS and it was basically the same as GTA 4 just in another city. Nothing GTA about it anymore really

Just by looking at the spec requirements it looks like opposite of what GTA IV was

I will buy it since I love open world games and it will be awesome when someone makes a Oculus rift mod to use in game while in first person mode

Yea i agree with you to some degree , but i do believe that if GTA 5 is a crap port , even after 12 months in development than they will lose the PC audience , or at least most of it , lets hope for a good port

Yes, but I will not pre-order.  Just because it has taken so long does not discourage me from buying it, but it has destroyed my enthusiasm.  Since I do not own any consoles, I just cannot understand the hype anymore; because I've gone so long without experiencing it.

 

But hopefully when it actually comes I'll be pleased.

yes it is, you can go anywhere, and the world is fucking massive, GTA 2 had missions and stuff, and there was less mission variety 

 

there are literally hundres of different things in the game to do, you can go on random killing sprees, people will flick you off if you block them in your car its, its a ton of fun!

IF it is, its looking good, the PS4 version looks really good, honestly even the PS3 version looks good, rockstar have done some great PC ports over the years

Hell yes! i bought gta iv on ps3, xbox360 and PC and now i have bought gta v on xbox 360 and xbox one i cant wait to get it on PC! 

 

I don't understand why people are pissed because they have to wait yea sure its stupid but doesn't make it a crap game!

I've been waiting for GTA V on pc since I trudged through the (what felt like) 20fps horror that was GTA V on Xbox 360.

I liked GTA V for PS3, will probably get it for PC, but it is still damn expensive for pre-order. I voted "I will wait for the game to release and see how well optimized it is" because I have been dealing with too much shit where I cannot join friends or the game simply crashes every few hours. If it is broken? Hell no, but by the looks of it, they will try to make it as good as possible, and it will hopefully be as good for pc as for console.

I have burned myself out on so many amazing GTA clones over the years that any open-world game has an uphill battle for my attention. If it is even slightly generic in any of it's mechanics I'll be ignoring it, and that's assuming it's an impossibly perfect PC port.

 

On the topic of it being delayed: Rockstar themselves admitting the game is not ready yet is an extremely positive (albeit uncertain) sign for the state of the final product. In particular, those of you who have pre-ordered the game for some reason should be on your knees thanking Rockstar for not pushing it out the door before it's ready. They already have your money and you have no leverage over them to release the game in a finished state. They have chosen not to abuse that privilege, so far.
