painting a m.2 ssd?

Ace307
Go to solution Solved by ForsakenLive,

what about the Pci Connectors?

you can cover them with something when you paint!

yea that is how i got this idea i have only seen sabertooth's  shield plastidiped though

There are pics and threads about people using plasti dip for boards and green ram; it works for them

Is this safe? any other options to get around the ugly green pcb?

Not sure if plastidip will work, but painting it with non-removable paint will probably void you warranty.

Because he had a hard drive.

not really worried about a voided warranty. just wondering if the paint would kill the ssd

Negative. Painting PCBs is a bad idea. All paints have solvents that will eat through the PCB.

My friend plasti dipped his WiFi card, you'll be fine

Just cover the plugs, for obvious reasons.

Warranty will be void, and when you paint pcbs like mobos and such you ALWAYS run the risk of bad things happening. But many people have painted their motherboards with plasti-dip and other non-conductive paints and had no issues as well. I am always for the fine details so I say go for it - but please understand the risks if you attempt to do so.

As for using a sharpie... please dont - that always looks like a**
