Need an amp for my Hyper Cloud X

An RoG board can't drive hyperX to loud enough level? That's damn surprising for me, even my $60 motherboard can drive HD558 to really loud level (albeit the pretty bad noise and sound quality)

 

Just get a fiio E10K, or probably a monoprice amp/dac for a better investment.

 

But honestly if you need to dig extra money for a $80 headset, you might as well return them and grab a new headphone.

 

As for sound card, I just don't really recommend them. A properly good amp/dac costs $50-60 minumum. If asus, a company that sells stuff with higher price than the competitors is selling a soundcard for $30, I'm really skeptical about it
