Phanteks Evolv ATX and Mini ATX Versions

I can't find more info on this, all I've found is this video.

 

 

I'm trying to find more info especially for the ATX version, any of you guys found anything else? I'm really interested on that case.

"One thing I noticed was the lack of rear 5.25" bay in the ATX and mITX Evolv's.

 
Also we have to wait for a proper review to see how good the top and front IO really is. The cable management may be annoying.
What about the changeable LED strips?
The ATX version is a fair amount larger. Does it have increased watercooling capacity? Any innovation on that front?
 
I'm worried these cases are a bit rushed, and they haven't come up with enough nice new features. That said, the sliding top fan mount is pretty damn cool."

Yep, that's why I want to know more, however knowing how Phanteks works that might take 3-5 months until we finally get to see reviews on those cases...

I'm also interested to learn more about the ATX version. I've been debating between the original micro-ATX version and Silverstone's FT05 for my own PC, and Hardware Canucks kinda rocked the boat with that video.

 

I see the rear optical drive bay is gone, and I can't see any slim slot-load drive bays either, so no more. The top looks like it has less space than the original version for radiators, which I'm fine with as I prefer air cooling. They're also sticking with the single 200mm intake fan in the front, with optional dual 120mm or dual 140mm fans. That's all fine and dandy, but with the extra height of the case, I was kinda hoping for an additional 200mm fan mount. Or dual 180mm fan mounts.

 

I like how they're showing off the SSD, but I would have preferred to see the dual window styling of the Primo/Pro/Luxe over this, which looks a lot like Bitfenix's Pandora case.

 

Overall, I like what I've seen enough to consider it, but will wait for more information. It would look pretty good in that powder-coat grey, with a black and metalic color scheme inside...

Just saw this vid posted by HardwareCanucks and I'm already drooling... 

 

The Mini is exactly what I've been waiting and looking for in a mini-ITX case. Nice big side window, great airflow with lots of options for multiple AIOs or a custom loop and room for ample storage. Can't wait to see more in-detail reviews. :D

Best looking itx case I have seen. I looks like a mini tower with the motherboard vertical instead of laying down. I don't really like box cases w/c most itx cases are. I might get this for a new build.

I like the atx version more. But that could be because x99 doesn't have a nice looking mini itx that is all black(evga has one, but it isn't the best).

Saddens me that they went from aluminium to steel.
I also won't buy a case from them unless they prove their windows no longer scratch when you blow on them.

  I love the Phanteks cases, so I am incredibly biased towards them.  I own the Pro and I can't say enough about it.  Their cases are just incredible.  I think this specific model is already available in Europe, because I see a bunch of users with it popping up on the Phanteks Owner's Club on OCN.

i think that mitx towers are pointless, just get a little bigger and get matx for more expantion. the appeal to me for mitx is being able to make a nice small cube case and put it anywhere

 

i think the the enthoo with the dual system ability (mini xl?) is better because there is a way to put dual systems into it and that is much more cooler to me, and haveing better watercooling is

air 240 is basicly a wide tower, that has the psu on the side for a really clean front, and if you change your mind the air 240 can become a cube or desktop case as it can be rotated

To each, his/her own. I'll never run more than one high-end GPU and I don't want or need a bigger tower, so it's perfect for me. ;)

The reason Phanteks used Plastic and Steel for the Evolv mini is they're trying to stick to the $70 price point. It's still a fairly large mITX case and with all the accessories Phanteks will likely be including I doubt there's much margin.

Spwath votes ft05, but he is a Silverstone fan.

I don't like how some of the new evolv's are plastic/steel and not aluminum.

I don't like how some of the new evolv's are plastic/steel and not aluminum.

 

 

Because the market simply doesn't support spending $150+ on a computer case is why.
