Cool! Something that immediately caught my attention is the height of the monitor. Is your son looking up at it? This can cause unnecessary neck strain.

I wonder what I was doing when I was 8. Not building a PC or even gaming on a PC, that's for sure.

But cool.

I would have loved to have something like this when I was 8 years old.

Looks awesome.

And agreeing on what @MegaDave91 said, it's better for the eyes to focus when the screen is just below your eye level. (top of monitor is at eye level)

It can mess up your eyes if you're constantly trying to focus on text while looking up.

But cool.

I got my first PC when i was 6 years old... The only thing i know about it is that it was a Pentium 3 and i played GTA III on it.....

You know I never thought about that but I am going to have a look at it now thanks.

Yeah, you should :)

I also wish i had a father like this.... My father, who's too easily influenced, thinks it's stupid to spend so much money on a pc... And when i tell someone, anyone, except a few, very few, friends, that i want a PC, their reaction is like: "You have a laptop. you can use internet and watch movies, do you need anything better".... I want to strangle them so much sometimes... They'd rather spend their money getting drunk... /rant

Back on topic :) I like that case, i'd just personally go with black :)

Also, i've got two questions:

- Is that monitor 32 inches O.o Because i think it may be too big for that kind of distance, especially for a kid

- Is he using wi-fi, since i'd never recommend wi-fi for gaming (even though i use it)?

Can you adopt me? :D

Me too?

You sir, are an amazing dad.

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

Yes it is 32" they use from across the room most of the time and yes I have wifi hooked up. I am using a ASUS Dual-Band Wireless-AC1900 PCI-E Adapter. Long story short the house is wired with CAT6 but when I bought the house the wiring was not complete so this spring I am going to finish it off and then no more wifi. Just wondering how old are you?

Hmm, if it's from distance, i again wouldn't recommend 32"... I'm quite nitpicky it... For gaming from a distance, i'd never go with something smaller than 42"... Again, that's me being nitpicky (and it's not helping it that i found a great 50" TV for an awesome price (it's not a smart TV), just need to convince my father to atleast think about buying it :D) :D Hmm, get it wired as soon as you can :) I sadly can't for a lot of reasons....

Well, today is 6th January (here it is, it's currently 12:18AM), so i'm STILL 17, but tomorrow, on 7th, i'm turning 18 :D

When I was 8, a long time ago, we only had one PC in our houshold... Times change so fast... *nostalgia*

That's a sweet rig, mate! You should be really glad that you have a cool dad, who helped you build a nice computer for you. I am not entirely sold on the case, though. Anyway, you are 8 so I can probably understand why you chose it.

If only my father would have actually done something with me instead of trying to get me to become sporty ;) (It made me hate excercise eternally and totally did not work)

Nice profile pic. Not seen the movie, but still.
