Sry, but i forgot my crystall ball AND time machine at my nuclear lab. Cant help you now, but be back in 1 month.

On the other hand, if i was buying NOW, i would go for 7970 Plat and OC it for graphic performance, and 770 for cuda, silent fan.

Id go for Plat bro.

They should perform fairly similar after overclocking since the 770 is bascially a higher memory clocked 680 and that was about the same as a 7970 so consider surround and 3d and see which one is best for you

7970 as it's very similar to 770 in 1080p performance but better in 1440p performance, and you get free games.

Also the extra memory would help in some games

Get the 7970. It beats the 680 and was the king of single GPU cards untill GTX Titan came out. A 770 is just a 680 with more memory frequency, so 7970 Platinum>770.

Hope it helped!

I wouldn't get the platinum if you are considering overclocking. You might get be getting a lucky GPU, but not many people are that lucky. Also if there is something wrong with your card you are pretty much screwed. Returned my card after it started making funny stuff, then got it back, nothing fixed. It is now in for the second time with a full error test report from work (I work in a PC shop) I hope they fix it this time.

If i could i would get a Club 3D RoyalAce.

Check it out, the card is nuts ^^

I've seen quite a few Platinum owners only able to do mediocre overclocking on their card even when they dive underwater. If u're not planning to voltmod, don't buy it.

Not really as long as they meet spec then they use em..  ;) The Vapor-X or Lightning would be a better choice

I'd save some cash and go with one of the cheaper 7970s that you can find on sale for ~$350.

i7 4770k, 16GB Corsair Vengeance

Gigabyte z87, Phanteks Enthoo Primo

7970
