Assassin's creed UNITY correct settings demonstrated: This game is FLAWLESS

i_build_nanosuits

I play at 1440p so I doubt I can run at those settings

I've got 45-55 fps at 1440p, so it's okay :) .

I don't get the hate for this game, I loved it.

i'm about 80% throught the storyline and i loved the game so far...it's not worth 69$ (hardly any games are worth that much imho except battlefield games) but it' would defenetly worth a purchase around 30 to 40$...it's a very beatiful, rich and fun game imho.

you'd need dual strong gpu's to run those settings at 1440p 60fps indeed.

hopefully picking up a second 780ti soon... although my single 780ti manages 99% of games at 1440p Ultra just fine still

but im sure your 780ti which is a fair bit stronger than my 780 could manage high settings and fxaa at 1440p fairly well.

The reason it runs good on OPs PC is because he has i7 cpu with 4 cores and 8 threads. I have brand new i5-4690k overclocked to 4.4 and it runs like pure shit. Drops fps to 40 sometimes. I guess they made use of 8 threads on i7s therefore you get smooth 60fps. Also I have overclocked msi 970 so no bottleneck

i do get some quick dips in the low 50's at times during actual gameplay and during the cinematics it does drop in the low 40's sometimes, but most of the time during gameplay i'm at 60fps...the game does looks like it's spreading the load across all cpu threads...what kind of cpu loads are you seing with your core i5 is it like nearly pinned to 100% on all cores or does some of the threads hit 100% at some point?

"Correct" settings or not, it's an awful looking game.

i have to strongly disagree with you the game iMHO looks really good in most areas, there's a lot of details throughout the city and the caracters in the cinematics looks good.

Now i must admit i really didn't picked a nice looking set for this video this part does looks a bit so so but i does not really make the game justice.

It's well below the optimization levels of say Battlefield 4. In my view, the performance that most people were/are getting with the game is not in line with how the game actually looks. I don't think we should have to be going to this much effort to make the game playable. It should've been playable when it was released. I make the same criticism about Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Don't lick that Ubi dick. Ubisoft defenders cling to rare scenarios and the "open world game" argument, Unity looks good due to the sheer manpower thrown at the game, 10 Ubi studios worked on it. People would sing a different tune if DX: HR, Crysis, Skyrim and Witcher had the money and manpower invested in them like Unity did.

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?

cpu is 100% much all the time an all cores especially when there are crowds. I can get 60fps on rooftops or in the part of the game at the beginning where there is no npcs. Don't want to spoil anything. But yes it seems that number of npcs really does affect performance and I'm almost 100% certain thats why i7 users get better frames. I limited frames to 50 and thats how i'm going to play it i think.

honestly I can't put my head around on how and why such a big company would release such a poorly optimized game on all systems. I mean come on it seems to me like they make the game but nobody tests how it performs even on current gen consoles. I always know wow the game is gonna run like shit on PC but releasing a title on new consoles that runs at 20fps slideshow is beyond me. Its like releasing a car that you can't drive or something like that. Hopefully ubi learns some sort of the lesson from this.

Guys in other news this pc can run assasins creed unity.

Of course you can brute force the game , you can brute force anything.

Just because it runs in your top end pc doesnt mean its good or a good port.

Not really, i've heard the patch 4 broke SLI support. Crossfire never worked either...

It's a shitty port no doubt about that, with a fx 8320 and a hd 7870 it runs like complete garbage... 20-30 fps with lower settings and changing the resolution isn't improving anything at all

And the game dropped the frame rate even in that short video of yours (@2:12)... I wouldn't call it flawless. You can see the GPU isn't fully utilized when the drops occur so it has to do with optimization, not hardware.

wow people in general are so ignorant it's beyond me...a game that run flawlessly on ultra settings at a solid 60FPS on not even top of the line hardware is JUST FINE.
