Computer doesn't get 400 FPS in League of Legends :|

Bit8xPr0

My rig which I believe is in my sig or description or whatever.
R9 290
FX 6300 @4.3 GHZ
Many people claim their systems get 400+ FPS with lower systems. I have it on Highest settings of course. (I know more than 60 doesn't matter but it's still an issue if my system can't do more right?)

WHY WOULD YOU WANT 400 FPS?!

Anyways, do you have stuff open in the background?

And obligatory "Do you have all the latest drivers installed?" question

Not an issue. Often cards simply won't push all the fps they could to save power.

It really doesn't matter. Unless you're going below 60fps in games you play, it's just a matter of pointless bragging if people are going on about how they're getting 400FPS.

it doesn't matter, can your system run more intensive games while still maintaining 60 FPS?

I don't play League of Legends, so don't know it's performance...

Are you other people getting above 400fps with a setup like yours? ...

In CCC and League in windowed weird resolution I get about 0-60 percent activity. The Activity monitor seems to be delayed so I don't know how long it's at that much activity.

Dumb question but do you have Power settings turned to High Performance in Control Panel- Power Settings? This will often cap any power coming from PSU and mess with OC of cpu and gpu.

Yeah if your CPU is better it might be off loading more of the rendering to CPU and not needing to fully cap your GPU.

Interesting. Does anyone know what I should be getting in Just Cause 2 or say Tomb Raider? I can benchmark those

With that setup you should def. be getting close to 60 locked in TR2013 benchmark. Drops in 30-40 and 70-80 in benchmark is what I remember getting on my 6300 OC'd to 4.5 with a 7970 DCUII
