The Sauber C9 @ 100% boost is such a beast!

And now you have to use the in game vsync setting the nvidia control panel vsync doesn't work properly.

Has anyone tried Assetto Corsa? I wanted to buy it a few months ago but I was waiting for it to go out of early access, but it's still not complete, so should I buy it now? 

Is worth the full price? or should I wait for a sale? or it's a complete waste of money?

 

(I use a Logitech Driving Force GT)

Project cars releases in a few weeks...I'd hold off and see how that is. Seems like it may be a more complete game than this one....

For me, it will depend on if they get the physics/handling and sounds right in Pcars. They nailed this in AC and even if the career mode isn't great and there's no weather or day/night in AC, to me it'll still be a better game in terms of authenticity/realism. 

 

But we shall see. I'm eager to try Pcars and see how it is. :)

 

Getting back to AC; WOW! Did they ever do an amazing job on the Nurburgring! :o Would be interesting to have Sabine Schmidt try this out with a simulator setup and see how close she thinks it is to the real thing. If anyone is qualified to make that judgement, it would be her. ;)

Everything looks gorgeous in 1.1, I can't even. While the 'Ring got most of the love, I spent most of my time on Spa working on set-ups and Trento-Berdone. Some of the turbo engines could use a bit more distinction, but for what it is the sound is plenty enjoyable. The hillclimb is a tad glitchy (vibrating cameras, wonky curbing, inconsistent grip) but it's pretty fun, especially if you go through it without hitting anything. As for cars, I'm mainly sticking to the GTR and P1 for now; stock, they are extremely twitchy but once you get a decent setup done, you can lay down fast laps pretty easily. Only managed 2:23 (GTR) and 2:20 (P1) at Spa for now after 8 hours with the DLC.

It takes quite a bit of commitment to get below 2:20, but once you do that it gets a heck of a lot easier to put down consistent laps.

You're on! Maybe when we're both free though. There appears to be a lot of servers running the DLC, so maybe some other LTT players would like to hop on? Anywho finally played with the C7R... by far, the easiest out of all the GT3/GTE cars to drive, maybe even more so than the Z4. So much torque and the gears are specced so well for Spa... it's a shame the car doesn't actually race there. The only downside I found with the C7 is that it is noticeably wider than most of the other cars in the game, so it's quite easy to start dropping wheels without noticing. Also lapped the Trento-Berdone hillclimb in 12m30s at 60% effort... the sheer number of switchbacks makes it quite the challenge in the P1, and most of the time you're just dealing with 2nd gear oversteer and sudden changes in terrain.

Finally recorded a decent lap; going to upload the full video later, but this is my fastest lap on record; I had another lap at 2:18.240 but I wasn't recording at the time. I recon that little moment I had at Blanchimont cost me the tenth I needed to best myself Dx

But...

 

-He was using the paddle shifters, not full manual with clutch like he should be with that Lotus 98T. ;)

-He seemed to be driving a little overly causious, like he was afraid to give it the beans. Either that or he had the boost turned way down. :P

I wanted to drive some laps on this rainy Saturday on the nordschleife.

But after this horrible crash today with several spectators injured and one died I simply cant drive this track. 

Feeling so sad right now.  :(

Did a 2:19 with the P1 at Spa. I know there are places I could shave just a little more. :P
