I have updated the theme, so be sure to update!

If you want the theme to auto update follow instructions in the spoiler below (I will also post this in the topic later)

!important; I use this when i testing so it can happen that something is going to look weird that's because I'm currently developing the theme! !important;

  1. Open stylish "manage installed styles" page.
  2. Click "write new style".
  3. Paste one of these lines of code into the style. First is for original theme and the second line is for the theme without width restrictions.
    @import url('http://alphaapplication.com/linus_theme/theme_01.css');@import url('http://alphaapplication.com/linus_theme/theme_02.css');
  4. Tick the enable box and name the theme to whatever you want.
  5. Choose in the "applies to" dropdown menu "URLs on the domain" and type in "linustechtips.com"
  6. And then click "Save" now your done :D

Looks nice, but what if we actually had an option to have it set to black on the page. I mean, a dropdown menu at the bottom where you can choose the themes. What if the admins did this? Wouldn't that be great?

I have updated the theme, so be sure to update!

Thank you for the work, added 'stylish' and your ... (term?) to my browser.

I have a question:

Is it normal to see now the 'quote' text only if 'marking' it with my mouse (background and text color very similar)? Or did I something in the wrong way?

Beside that: love it :wub:

edit: and I usuallyy prefer a black letters on white, light grey... background, but somehow the original colors are a bit too bright for my eyes

@Gimbergsson

This is fucking excellent! I didn't know about this extension and have always wondered about making websites dark, I have now seen that there is a black theme for YouTube posted by someone else that's great also!

Thank you very much for making this thing man, I donated you $5.

Hi, recently i have been working on a dark theme for LinusTechTips.

Instructions on how to get the theme are below the screenshot!

Please post feedback on the theme!

Remember the theme is not finished yet! So if you find something funny, post it in the thread. :)

In the spoiler below is a screenshot of the theme (it's on Google chrome).

linus_scr.jpg

*I recommend to use the "Original theme" for larger screen sizes and the "Theme without width restrictions" on smaller screen sizes (such as laptops).

Instructions for Chrome and FireFox!

Instructions for Opera[2]

  • Save the CSS on your computer. With Width - Without Width
  • Right click anywhere on LinusTechTips and then choose "Edit Site Preferences..."
  • Under the flap "Display" then under "My style sheet" click "Choose..." and choose the CSS file you just saved.
  • Done, just refresh LinusTechTips.

Instructions for Safari[1]

  • Download stylish for Safari and install it
  • After installed stylish click on the "S" icon in the top left corner
  • Then choose "Manage" and in the search box search for "linustechtips"
  • Done

Instructions for Firefox on Android

  • Download FireFox for your android device http://goo.gl/oe1ZJ
  • Just follow the same instructions as Chrome and FireFox :D BUT CHOOSE THE THEME WITHOUT WIDTH RESTRICTIONS

Change logo

4d0Db.png

  1. Install stylish using the instructions above.
  2. Go to http://goo.gl/H8fltY and click install

[1] - Works on both Windows and Mac.

[2] - You need to update the theme manually using the same way.

Stylish are having problems with their server.

Please look at the first post on page 10 (Auto update, post #181) and follow the instructions :)
