Mark my words: 2015 and 2016 are AMD's years for glory :P

2016-2017, and that's dependent on Intel not catching up with good leaps in iGPU in Skylake and Cannonlake. Carrizo isn't going to be that amazing, leaving Zen to be AMD's redeeming chip, but production on Zen will not begin until late 2015 at the earliest. Samsung's 16/14nm tech has never built anything more complicated than NAND flash and the controllers for their SSDs. Their phone chips are still built on 20nm tech.

Sure, AMD is getting FreeSync out there, but that was a given.

AMD comeback anyone?

It looks "inevitable" at this time - which I am really in favor of. I think that the groundwork done in the recent years is going to make AMD a successfull company in the long term.

I'm looking forward to more stuff. Anything that moves the industry forward in a way that benefits those who work in the industry and those who consume content or items produced by the industry is a good thing.

Good to see AMD coming with some good stuff, curious to see how FreeSync and mantle stack up against the competition.

Ready to dump my 780 ti and jump on the freesync train.

I plan on having two systems now, before I was roughly 50/50 on it thanks to Zen and Skylake. I'll be having either a Xeon/970 ITX powerhouse or a 300-series XF + Xeon setup and later on, a Skylake or Zen rig for general use. Don't care if Zen sucks, I'll pick it up. I'm not interested in overclocking on Intel anymore unless Skylake is phenominal and all I want is a fuck-around rig. The Xeon is a for-sure thing after realizing how shit Core i3/i5/i7 processors actually are.

Edit: Got all caught up with hating on mainstream Intel that I forgot to say having 60-120fps/2160p adaptive-sync monitors is the shit. I am not dropping $800-$900 on a 1440p G-sync panel; fuck that after seeing this news.

I can't see Consoles mentioned anywhere... so this is a mute point for THIS thread.

I was just going to skimp on the Xeon build and use it as an entry-level workstation with a single socket Z97/Z87/B85 motherboard. E5 is out of the question I think and I need a new pc soon. I've held off for another 6 months and can't do it again.

I guess I could swap to a larger system later but I don't actually need two Xeons or more than 32GB of RAM. Yet anyway.. I'll keep this in mind though.

Normally I am skeptical and look for the mistakes in everything, but after reading a certain troll post in this thread ( post 10 if any care to report it ) , I now hope it is all true and that AMD have a kick arse year starting now. I'm not even going to validate the OP's posts and just assume it's all 100% true. B)
