Its actually just depth perception I think! The piece of fish was cut into a rectangle but the tail of the fish tapers off a bit giving a bit of a triangle look from that angle.

I like trout but it can get a little bit rubbery if you cook it wrong. I may be thinking of another fish though. Either way, don't cook it so it's rubbery.

 

Also your breakfast sounded perfect up until the avocados. :P

 

I think I've only ever tried and liked was cod, I think. I'll have to try out trout then!

You don't like avocados? I can't get enough of them. It is like candy to me. If they weren't so damn expensive here I am pretty sure I would serve it at every meal. Oh so delicious. :wub:

For me they have an absolutely disgusting texture and taste no matter how they're made. I just don't know why but I cannot eat them, they come right back out. Don't imagine that.

So it is just the texture you dislike? Maybe you just haven't experienced good avocados. Made with love. Garlic, paprika, salt + pepper and served on maybe a salad or burrito...oh my I just can't imagine someone not loving avocados. :(

I've had good avocados before. I don't like the taste. The texture I can get over, but the taste is god awful.

Wish we had a fried chicken restaurant.

 

We have KFC but no where near my town.

A couple new places just opened up in this area, I haven't been to the second one but I have been to the first and my god is their chicken good.

When I went to meet my wife's family in Osaka, we went to the all you can eat KFC there. After that, I couldn't even look at KFC chicken again without being violently ill.

So, today i ate... nothing... I got pretty pissed off because my father didn't make salad for dinner (i know, i know) even though i explicitly said to him, multiple times, to make it... Oh well, "today" i'm going to eat like a swine, since it's bakery sunday (patent pending), since he works from Monday-Saturday...

 

Also, these last few days, i've been eating a lot of "ajvar" (google it), and it's soooo good :D:D:D

Same. Nearest is 2 hours drive away.

I made a batch of cinnamon blueberry muffins yesterday morning. Gave 6 away and there are only 2 left. Stupid delicious muffins.

Not the food really, the stores here are really clean.

If you work there long enough the smell permeates your work clothes and no amount of hot water washing with oxidizers works to get it out. Once it's embedded in your work clothes it hangs about like a sticky fart infecting everything in your closet with it's stench.

About 3 months I couldn't stand the smell anymore, it had burnt away my nose hairs and I stopped eating it. At 6 months I had gotten so used to it or it had completely killed my olfactory senses that it didn't bother me anymore and who can resist half price cheese burgers on minimum wage

 

 

Hah, there's one 30 seconds down the street here! :lol:

 

Also, El Paso is getting a Scottish Hooters.

I have a Burger King on the corner but I refuse to eat there. The beef patties are extra fatty & have gristle in them and the salad looks like it will give you food poisoning

Hhhmmm lets see food in Mongolia

         Lots of meat, I just don't know what it is some of the time

         Vegetables... well if you get them fresh you better eat them quick.... frozen and canned are ok

         Pastries and baked goods well I did lose 30 pounds after coming here so you do the math

         Fast food... A KFC and a Pizza hut

 

         That being said I like the local cuisine, Khuushur oh so tasty.... Tsuivan salty noodle goodness..... Ox tongue is divine...... Korhog isn't bad just don't ask what it is...... Butz is an acquired taste.... Airag blech (fermented mares milk) Arkhi (distilled cows milk) is actually kinda like sake..... carrot salad.... 

Me- I feel like a secret agent man, as my wallet now has five different currencies in it

Me- It has come to my attention that it is impossible to buy liver in Mongolia because it is bad, but it is perfectly ok to buy salted sheep heads

Working anywhere that makes food can turn you off to that food, either because you know how its handled, or you just get sick of the smell.

 

I refuse to eat Domino's ever again after working there, mainly because I know their sauce sucks, but mostly because I just can't stand the smell, especially the pepperoni. Then again, I can't stand the smell of pepperoni from anywhere, while working at Domino's, I could spill an entire thing of pineapples on myself, be soaking wet for a while, with pineapple juice....still come home smelling like pepperoni. It was like when the Janitor on scrubs made JD do the Janitors job for a day, "it's like the ammonia is seeping into my brain making me angry and hateful!"

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
