You make me laugh. I was going to drop 1,800 on an intel and then realized hyperthreading was hyperscam,

Hyperthreading is great technology. If you can use it.

If you are not doing heavy video editing and streaming. Then an i5 is enough.

Intels 8 threads will beat AMDs 8 compute cores because the 4 actual cores are much stronger.

I understand that hyperthreading "works," but is it worth an extra $100

Yes. AMD is only good if you want cheap performance.

But when you start spending more money on a (FX series) AMD build, then Intel just makes more sense.

Edit: Nvm

Get an i5 and a 980. You can buy Windows 8 from g2a.com for like 15 bucks to save money

Hyperthreading is not a scam, it is far more useful than AMD's "half cores"

Plus you can get an intel CPU without hyperthreading that performs better than an 8350.

The i5 4690k only has 4 cores but WAY better single core performance which gives you an additional 5-10% fps in most games and applications.

fanboy

You just made a complete idiot of yourself. I just made two builds; one intel and amd. Now let me show you im not a fanboy. AMD is good if you want your room temperature increased by 20 degrees when it is idle. Intel is much better than AMD but enjoys eating the money from your wallet.

from what I know a CPU doesn't increase frames unless the one you had before was bottlenecking.

Yes the fx cores are equal to rat on heroin and a intel core at the same clock is a just castorated bull who is charging his castorater

yea the point games are mostly lowly threaded so they use 2-4 cpu cores and would rather have 2-4 really fast ones than 8 mediocer ones

The 8350 does bottleneck games and applications because of its weak core performance.

G2A Windows Keys are not worth it anymore because they are usually 60 dollars or higher or out of stock.

also sli 970 not 980 as the 980 is 235 dollars more for 10-20 percent performance
