Gaming screenshots

007Mix

Glad to see this thread still moving along. I've got 2 from Tomb Raider and 1 funny capture from L4D2.

For anybody who plays L4D2. At dead center I got charged in the elevator doors as they were closing. My team killed the charger but the elevator doors had shut already and left me up top so I jumped on top of the elevator and rode it down from the outside. :D

Aw dude, you've gotta play with TressFX, it's beautiful :'( These are the only screenshots I have on my PC

Haha, yeah it is. I just wish it wasn't such a big performance hit for only affecting hair though. Nice pics by the way.

Borderlands .... totally addicted to this game and playing it 1P only. One thing I noticed is that with the bosses I have seen thus far when you die and come back to them their adds don't come back to life too. I wish this was different despite that fact it would make it harder for me to clear the game.

So much Skyrim love in this thread... here's another one, one of my favorite screenshots ever, from back when I first started playing the game:

And here's a couple Final Fantasy XIV screenshots from back when the game was pretty and hadn't gotten all WoWified:

And what it became...

(The old XIV screenies were in MID settings, whereas the 2.0/ARR screenshot was maxed out)

I don't get how that last picture = "WoWified", that doesn't even make sense.

Not because of the graphics, obviously. They downgraded the graphical quality of the game quite a bit, but when I say "WoWified", it's because of the massive gameplay changes between FFXIV 1.23 (before the shutdown) and 2.0/ARR (the re-release version), where it has the same gameplay mechanics from most WoW wannabes. Some of the design choices and art style changed a lot, too. Now it's full of extremely flashy stuff, unpractical gear designs, tons of flashy/out of place mounts... you know, standard WoW fare. Now it's only missing Blizzard's signature gigantic shoulder pads.

It's FF, they've never had "practical gear" more like weapons 3x the size of your body or just armour for the for the sake of aesthetics. And that mount isn't really out of place, it's just an exosuit. Maybe because you decided to ride it around in the snow?

In FFXIV, they did, and no piece of gear looked out of place within the game's setting. The game had a nice and clean aesthetic. You're probably just thinking about FFVII and Cloud's retarded sword, but really, no other FF was ever like that.

  • 2 weeks later...

Finally managed to get some free time and a new GPU, so I decided to play some BI: Burial at Sea II to further test my overclock and play a game after quite a long while of hardly any gaming at all :).
