Only plug my webcam in when I'm using it.

Website doesn't work right for me, can't view any webcams.

The fact that this is a thing is super weird, what sort of freak gets off watching peoples webcams? The internet is a terrifying place.

Anyway I never disable/turn off/spin around my webcams on my monitor or laptops. It just isn't something I think to do. All anyone would see is me staring into it though, so its not a big deal, I mean worst case someone sees me shirtless but in case you couldn't tell from my av I don't care about that. Im not gonna inconvenience myself because of some neckbeards.

Conceal your intentions

I sometimes think about doing it on my phone.

I think I should blackout my front camara with a black marker.

I used to think people who put tape over their webcams were paranoid...

Used to.

You fools!

Did any of you read the article or actually go to the website? This is not your average webcam that's connected to your computer. These are things like CCTV cameras and network security cameras on which the schmucks operating them have not changed the default password. As I understand it, they're designed to be used remotely and that's why you can view them via a simple website. Seriously, some of them literally look like this:

Don't give in to the sensationalism of the other commenters.
