Why is it even dlc? just call it an update if it will come later...

 

DLC has gotten a bad name thanks to other games, but they are using the term correctly, as it is just content that you can download.

"16 bits of DLC" sounds to me like there will be a DLC for free that is two bytes large.

DLC = downloadable content. It does not have to be charged to be DLC. DLC is typically optional content that expands on the game more so than modifies. Updates are usually there to fix the game and do slight modifications to the current game, although they may add content, they tend to focus on the current content.

16-bits? What a massive downgrade. Forget 1080p 60 FPS, we just lost millions of colours.

That's it. I am preordering this game.

I thought the game was kind of expensive at first but then I noticed this on GOG's website:

I haven't even played the other two games but CD Project Red is doing everything the way they should and I want to support them.

1) No bullshit about PC and console parity.

2) No DRM.

3) Free DLC.

4) Customers of the previous games gets a discount.

5) Boob physics.

6) The world and story seems massive.

No, today we have a poisonous trend of calling updates DLCs(and locking it to other side of paywall) just so greedy companies can make some more money.

CDPR should really have called it update.

Because that is EXACTLY WHAT IT IS/WAS(back in the good old days).

I think it should be called DLC since it adds bonus content. An update would be more aimed at fixing bugs or improve the game. An update can add new content as well, but I would call a player skin a DLC

Back in the day Update adds everything.

DLC represents the poisonous practice of locking extra content behind paywall(literally taking them out of updates).

Say no to DLC.

IMO if they said its all included and didn't call it DLC, then ppl would love it, but their point isn't made... that charging for DLC is bad.

By saying its DLC, people normally would expect a price, and realize its free, and give +1 or Reps to the company.

 

IMO they should have made a ridiculous number of DLC content packs................... to throw shit at other games.

Make people realize it shouldn't be common practice for DLC's to exist,... like a shits n giggles high number like 25-50 DLC additions @ $0

Showing the peoples that any DLC not included in the game straight away on launch is a cash grab.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
