It's possible, but unlikely.

Your PC really shouldn't be on 24/7.

What? You mean "woould be" and not "would not be", correct?

If your using a normal pc then make sure your temps are low because if they are hot, running them 24/7 will shorten their lifespan.   Also make sure the psu isn't stressed at all, I mean this by cutting the air circulation to it and dust accumulating on it.

Yeah my CPU temps are around 40 and GPU 41 for the night and my PSU has a dust filter and gets some air , if it blows, I got 7 year warranty.

They do start to get dimmer and dimmer eventually, buy as long as you don't feed them more current than they're rated for they'll usually last far longer than you're likely to need.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

To blow an LED you need to either overload it or blunt-force trauma it.

NZXT is a master at killing LEDs

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

I think you made a post about that? Could just be one of those rare cases (pun intended) where yours decided to die yet most of them are still fine.

It's a pretty common problem, apparently.

The lesson to be had is don't put LEDs on an NZXT grid! :P

Edit: So bad that NZXT's RMA department is behind on LEDs because of how many requests come in for new LEDs

I'd just buy some from radio shack and solder them in.

LEDs will outlast the rest of your components 99% of the time, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I also wouldn't be concerned about running a normal PC 24/7... I have several PCs on right now that I can't remember the last time they were shut down, three of them I know have been on since I moved into my new house over a year ago. I reboot them every now and then... but thats about the only time they are off.

The Compaq in the picture below ran for 7 or 8 years IIRC without being shut off, it was old and slow so I replaced it... the Black computer ran for about 4 years until the PSU failed, I replaced it and use it every now and then, but its duties were transferred to a new computer two years ago. They were in an extremely dirty warehouse, and I had to take an air compressor to them once a month or so as you could barely see the motherboards, not temperature controlled one bit and being in Nebraska they subjected to below zero in the winter and over 100 degrees in the summer. One was a webserver for internal use and the other was a security system, both were typical store bought computers.

IIRC that was a wiring issue from NZXT and the LEDs were fine it was just a loose joint or something... but I may not be remembering that correctly.

Well, it's more like environment conditioning...
