Trying to find the right Computer Case!

Go to solution Solved by Jordan1417,

The NZXT H440 while not only being cheaper is quieter, sleeker, and more accommodating than the 750D.

The H440 supports 2 way SLI no problem nad can even do 3 way.  It has additions to it that are usually done as aftermarket mods to other popular cases, such as shrouds over the HDD cages and power supply and it's cables.  It can be cooled with a custom loop easily, you can hide your pump and res behind the HDD shroud or mount it on the side of it.  It comes it all kinds of different colors (black/red, white/black, Razer themed) so it can hold any build while keeping with it's color scheme instead of being just black.  It also comes with 1/2" think sound dampening foam all around the case so it is much quieter.  The H440 also has a completely sleek, flat front panel, with no honeycomb mesh or visible fans yet it still provides good airflow from the vents on the sides.

The best thing about this case is that it has no 5.25" drive bays because they are eww.  It's perfect.  (In my opinion)

The 750D has a little bit better airflow and has 5.25" drive bays.

Edit: Grammar.

Very well detailed. You have changed my Opinion on the case. I am probably going to go with it! Thanks for the suggestion. When does the Razer edition come out? It is sexy af!

**Just some quick info**

-I'm trying to keep the budget around $150, nothing over please.

-I live in the U.S, so shipping or availability is no problem

-I want a case that looks awesome but has many options like great cable management, looks, quiet, and room to fit my items with plenty of clearance.

**My Specs in a nutshell**

ASUS Direct CUII 780TI, I7-4790k, Corsair HX 750, Hyper Evo 212 Cpu Cooler (Moving to Liquid cooling when I get a new case, getting the Kraken x61) 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD, 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM, (Sorry if I forgot anything, just ask.) and my current case is the NZXT M59 which doesn't look appealing, cheaply made, and has hardly any room for cable management.

-I want to buy a case that has plenty of room, but I don't want a huge case since I am limited on space.

-Cable management, options, spacious, looks, cooling efficiency, and not too bulky and huge.

**In advance, thank you all for the information provided, please with your response tell me why I should choose the particular case. And please stay in the budget I have set of $150.

Current Case that I am wanting a upgrade from: http://te.tl/99 (Shortened link)

NZXT H440 if you want a Kraken X61 in the future. It'll fit without issue. There's a million different colors to choose from and a Razer version in the later months.

Fractal Design Define R4. Prices range from $90 for non-windowed versions and up to $120 for the 'Blackout' edition. I have the regular (white accents) black, windowed case. Easy to build in, part of the HDD rack is removable if you don't need it and you can mount two SSD's on the back of the motherboard tray. To 'properly' install them, you would have to screw them in before mounting the mobo; which would mean you'd have to remove your mobo to remove the SSD's should that happen. I just used some velcro type stuff to stick them to the tray so it's easy to remove should I need to.

Corsair obsidian 450d, plenty of room for future case modding and water cooling. Just get creative with acrylic, dremel and plastidip if you want some great looks or a fresh design with some personal flair. And you get the obsidian quality build with cable management etc (edit: it's also quite compact and so it won't take up the whole room like the 750d does)

I like all the cases you all mentioned, now I need to narrow down the options,

according the the picture you linked powderbanks, the R4 looks very versatile, but looks a little too big to suit me, although I do like the sound dampeners and the price is unbeatable. Many many options and features.

With the H440, I like the case on the outside, but I don't really like having the shield on the inside I know its to cover up all your cables, but personally, I think it takes away from the look inside, when you open it up it is going to look smaller say if you was going to show off your rig to a friend..

The s340 looks like it has no cable management options look limited . I'd like more management holes to stuff cables in.

The 750D ties with the R4. So there is where I am going to have to make the decision. The price is more then the R4, but the case looks more versatile, spacious, and looks better on the outside, but is it worth the extra money? Looks like it is better cooled also.

So I am putting the Define R4 vs. 750D, what do you guys think, which one should I chose. Is the 750D worth the extra money?

the r4 is great, but very big and pretty heavy, so i would go 750d

The R4 will be quieter while the 750D will (IMO) look better. Think the 750D might be the better water-cooler. Note: this is not from personal experience.

The R4 is quieter, 750D more versatile.  Then there is the $60 price difference.

My opinion is if you plan to SLI/OC 750D, otherwise R4

Phanteks Enthoo Pro or Enthoo Luxe

Pro is $100 and is a solid all around case.

Luxe is $150 or so. It has more space, is built out of better materials (sandblasted metal looks great), and has a strip of LEDs.

Both cases also include some really nice cable management stuff. I just did my first build and while the back is kind of messy, the part you can see through the window is pristine. Just be aware it is full-sized so some SATA extensions might be a good idea, I ran out of length and had to get creative with my PSU cables for the case lights.

Stock's kind of low all over the place, but once they get more cases out the prices will go back down to normal.
