GTX 790, could it be possible?

So I'm wondering if they would produce a GTX790 in the nearby future as they always produced a double gpu-card in nearly every number-series.
I found what seems to be rumored spec or just something it could hold as it would be 2 GK110 gpu's on one PCB.
Do you guys think Nvidia would ever produce one? If so, what would you think the thing would cost?
I leave you with the link  showing the 'specs' of what should be the GTX790. (this is not official, I have no clue were they got this info)
It would be cool if the estimated price was 999, then I would probably get one for sure (since I could need some more Vram anyway)...But yeah.

Now start the discussion :D

PS: I also found this on the web showing what could be a GTX790 from Gigabyte - not much details so it could be fake.

The Mars 1 had 2 pcb's in one shroud, so maybe it could be something like that. But technology is evolving so quickly we never know how they would do it (if they do it).

The 780 dosen't even need 10W more than the 680. a 790 would be no problem. I think the biggest problem is always power consumption with these cards.

price...hmm 1300$

yeah but 2 gk-110 would produce so much heat

790 is possible! Have you seen the length on the 7990? LONG! Two Titans on one PCB is possible yet expensive as hell. The heat could be tended but with some new vapor chambers, pipes, fans, and lots and lots of heatsinks.

790 is almost certainly on the way. It'll be a really long card with two underclocked 780s, just like every x90 always is XD

hybrid cooling is comming up, just look at the Ares II. Heck, we'll have to wait what they pull out their sleeve

It could be possible but once the 780 and the Titan get a price cut, which could be a long time.

I doubt (actually I outright deny) the possibility of two Titans on a single PCB due to the amount of VRAM chips, but two 780s might be possible. Though, I think the Titan will remain the top of the line option as it stands until the 8XX series. And I wouldn't mind if Nvidia went on to only do single-GPU flagships hereon out.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

something like a 790 or Titan x2 would require maybe 4x PCIe 8pins if you want it to scale well

The 790 is here already you need 2 780s and a motherboard that supports SLI.

Also they are going to have the AMD problem. Who would buy this just but 2 780s and liquid cool them. They might need to work on power consumption there is going to be another 400 series problem

technicly yes but 2 seperate gpu's on seperate cards are still not 2 gpu's on one pcb

They could do something like 2 titan chips, with memory in the middle of the pcb maybe, and then cool it with a waterblock like the ares 2?  Idk

exactly my toughts, hybrid cooling is comming up into the mainstream of videocard cooling, accelero-cooling already had hybrid cooling but since Asus has 2 new cards running on hybrid cooling (Ares 2 and Poseidon) I think we could see a lot more of those cooling options comming as stock

I think they will have to, or they will start making something like titan and just make something that is HUGE and just makes everything sissy and then make cheaper cards based off of it.
